The Carbonnade maison, frites is a really nice local dish, the beef is very tender and it's quite different to any other stew I've had. The Bière du Ch'ti is a nice northern beer . It's good value
Black rice risotto . A vegetarian dish (not always easy to find in Lille) - absolutely lovely.
Try the beef with brown sugar sauce. 10/10. Friendly staff , average price.

We had the menu du square and almost everything was overly sweet. When we got the bill we were charged for over 13 euros for things we did not even ordered. Service is good though.
Try the grimbergen rouge, a sweet but very tasty beer .

Endroit très convivial, on mange bien à un prix raisonnable et la musique est très sympa!!

Le service laisse à désirer... beaucoup trop de temps d'attente malgré la qualité des plats et des toilettes avec un verrou difficile ou sans lumière !
This was said to be a very strong and tasty cheese gratin dish with potato and ham. However I don't agree. Most salty taste. Next time I'll trust my own judgement and get something with a blue cheese - Charlie Turquoise
Go for the beers local ones with Picon and also the Karaoke - Ouriel Attal
