Step off the street and you land in Mexico City . Delicious small menu of tacos , chips and salsa , and bean dip . A couple of vegetarian options . Everything is homemade from the tortillas to the salsas .

This was my first Paris speakeasy and I wasn't disappointed! Head through a discreet white door at the back of an authentic taco joint & you arrive in a lively Mexican bar . Great vibes!

Great speakeasy cocktail bar in Le Marais. The front of the place looks like a small taco bar . Go inside and walk straight through the unmarked white door towards the back. Very cool place.

A hidden bar that has it all: low-key lighting, original cocktails (don't miss the Santa Margarita : tequila , agave , hibiscus , vanilla , lime ), good music , flea-market-chic décor with a homey feel.

A tiny, nondescript taqueria with a speakeasy in the back. Push open the white door to reveal a candelabra-lit artsy bar and sip delicately on unique cocktails : Naked & Famous, Guêpe Verte!

Two out of three taco options were vegetarian (and so tasty). Guacamole very good and homemade hot sauce has a long slow burn, as it should! So awesome. Margaritas are small but strong

You can have tacos outside. I’ve found more delicious the pork one than the others. Frozen margarita must try. Inside you can get more cocktail options. Get some chips with cocktails !

This bar ranked #17 in the world in 2016 by #worlds50bestbars.com and it's reasonable! Tasty cocktails w/ whole bar atmosphere make this place. Menu has a nice way of advising u next cocktail ????

Agave-focused. Try the classic spicy tequila Guepe Verte from the original menu, newer creations incorporate mezcal and tamarind for a Mexican flavour or mix Peruvian pisco with chicha morada syrup .

Everything here was delicious, but carnitas were on another level. I also really enjoyed the homemade salsas which were exceptional and spicy . I never thought I would eat STELLAR Mexican food in Paris

This place can get very crowded , but it is absolutely a must-visit! Exclusive without being pretentious—a hip cocktail bar hidden behind an authentic taco shop. You enter through a hidden door .

Like others said, head to the back room. I had the Bloody Mary variant (Bloody Maria) which I didn't love - was smokey. The guacamole and tacos (carnita ) were some of the best I've had in Europe.

Great cocktails , menu changes regularly. Go for something with tequila since that's their speciality. Arrive early, no reservations . The real bar is hidden in the back, the white door straight ahead .

Some vegan options . As a California native I can't say these tacos are the best nor authentic but satisfies the craving. Go to the front for classic small taqueria feel or to the back for cocktails

A taqueria/speakeasy bar . Enter through the street-side for tacos and margaritas , then sneak through a secret door at the back into the dim bar , which features a superb list of tequilas .

I LOVE this place! For its 100% original tacos , its hidden back door and its wonderful list of cocktails (Felicie Aussi is a win!). But the most important tip would be: Arrive EARLY!

There's a secret cocktail bar in the back of this tacqueria. Paris is low on Mexican food , and this is the best I've found.

The line for tacos is long, but behind the white door at the back of the taqueria is an amazing bar . Order the Finisterre, Gimlet or the La Guêpe Verte , and mingle with random locals while you wait.

Tacos & Tostadas are very good. Grab a bite then go to the back and have a drink. Excellent mixed drinks . I recommend the Le Jardin de Mémé (with absinthe ).

Lovely taqueria sitting 7 at the counter and 6 at a unique table. Most people coming in go through to the hidden bar at the back. Great tacos , fun staff . The earlier you get there, the better...

Entrance was amazing and atmosphere was really cool. Speakeasy feel. However too crowded and cocktail menu wasn't my style. Definitely go if you enjoy mezcal and citrus cocktails .

Mexican food in Paris? Yup, and it’s good too! Authentic mex and good cocktails - you’d almost believe you turned a wrong corner on the Rue de Saintonge and ended up in Mexico City !

Best tacos and guacamole and bean dip in all of Paris, in the humble opinion of a Californian. And the staff is remarkable. Really really great people.

Delicious tacos , one of the best guacamoles I've ever had, amazing drinks. Beer was not super cold, but try their pisco-disco!

Porc and agneau tacos are the bomb! Frozen margaritas are smooth and refreshing. Cocktails inside the speakeasy are ok but not to die for.

One of the best bars I’ve been to, go early evening to avoid long lines . Cognac Café was great, bartenders welcoming and very nice.

Cool kids drink spot with a Wes Anderson library type vibe. Hidden behind a totally unremarkable taco counter (but the tacos pretty good tho)

Tacos are either out of this world or just above average depending on the week's specials. Frozen margaritas never disappoint.

Excellently hidden speakeasy conveniently in the back of a taco bar . Drinks are delicious but be aware it's pretty noisy ! Not the place for in-depth conversation.

The bloody Maria and the guêpe verte are my favorite cocktails here. Great for brunch . Come at 1230 to avoid crowds.

One of Paris' best cocktail bars , located behind a very small taqueria . Was told to skip the tacos out front, but we're spoiled in the Bay Area.

This now famous Marais bar is hidden at the back of a non-descript taqueria . International crowd in a confined space. Great cocktails but limited choice.

It is amazing! Always full... Have a taco before then pass thru the white door .. And enter another world. The drinks are amazing.. 2nd time there and would gladly go back..

Fantastic hole-in-the-wall Mexican joint with a cocktail bar in the back. Order the hibiscus margarita with chicken tacos and quac . Sooo good.

Get there early - before 7. Skip the tacos unless you're hungry for non-French food. But i'd recommend the Argentinian arepas place next door, Clasico Argentina

All of their cocktails are beautifully presented and taste amazing, nothing too sweet or predictable

La Guepe Vert is my favourite cocktail of all time. I'm coming back in Dec 16 so my husband can try it!!
