Amazing, worth all the hype, I could eat tostadas de atun everyday for the rest of my life. The service is great also. Fav resto in CDMX 👌🏻
The most standout restaurant in DF. Start with tuna tostadas and margaritas . The Contramar whole grilled fish (1/2 verde, 1/2 roja) is so freaking good. Also, the octopus , potato & basil dish is 😍👌.
I can't stress enough how amazing this place is. Try every tostado ! I personally loved the grilled octopus with a side of asparagus . For desert , try the cheese flan ! Enjoy!
We loved the tuna tostadas , full fish with green and red salsa , and the strawberry meringue cake . Fantastic service on top of everything!
it's the top of everyone's list because it's the best. great for lunch or roll in at 730 for an early dinner
Tuna tostada is good but the soft shell crab (daily special list) was my favorite smaller item on the menu. We asked for smaller portions of the fish and pulpo mains (both 👌) so we could try more.
Have been wanting to eat Contramar’s red and green fish for years and it did not disappoint. Tuna tostadas and garlic shrimp were fantastic too. You can email for a reservation !
Love the food. Definitely order the Tostados , the tuna was excellent. For the Contramar Fillet to share (half green day de/half red). The desserts are fantastic too. Their white wines weren’t great.
the tostadas are delicious as everyone says so order as many as you can. i also loved the fig tart for dessert even though i usually find figs pretty unappealing. a must for visitors!
Wonderful sunny buzzy atmosphere , and casual seafood that lives up to the hype. Don’t skip the tuna toastadas or the half/half fish . Finish on a sweet high with fig tart washed down with a carajillo.
Worth the hype. Make a reservation if you can. If not, worth the wait (walk around the neighborhood checking out shops and galleries while you wait).
Landmark and well deserved to be one. The food is fantastic, tuna tacos are amazing, the fish (picture) too. Call ahead, it gets busy.
This place is heaven on earth. tostadas de atún are unreal. Tostadas de pulpo are good. Mahi mahi was refreshing. house specialty is a must. Honestly, eat everything on the menu with no regrets.
One of the best meals we had in CDMX. Started with Tuna tostada and ceviche Contramar. both incredible. The whole fish was ridiculously good and the shrimp al gusto unreal.
Margaritas are insanely good, tuna tostada is awesome, and the contramar fish with red and green sauce is out of this world.
The crisp, white, indoor-outdoor feel and shiny metal bar cement the nautical theme by combining elegance and a beach feel, even if everyone here is dressed for dinner . Read more
Tuna tostada , fish and desserts (fig tart & chocolate pie ) are not to be missed. The atmosphere is very lively . Tables are packed back to back and can get loud . Needs reservations
Amazing place! Try everything but the tuna tostada and the Contramar fish . Plus that amazing strawberry desert with Meringue .
Trendy , worth the hype! Pricey for CDMX but great vibe on a Friday afternoon. Go before 2pm to put your name in for a table. Don’t forget to order the full fish !
Tuna tostadas are amazing. Get the pescado a la talla too.
The tuna tostadas are a MUST. Everything is great here. You can't go wrong. The fig dessert is also out of this world.
A legend for a reason. Yes the tuna tostada is amazing but not as good as the pescado carnitas . The fish for two should not be skipped either. Oh, and beans. Lots of beans
Tostadas de atun and the whole fish ! Try and make a reservation or get there at noon, when it opens. It’s worth it!
One of the best seafood restaurants in DF, posh and popular. The tostadas de atun (tuna ) really are one of the best things you’ll ever eat. But you can’t go wrong on the menu. –Adam Calderon
Any of the tostada 's, and the tacos de peacado al pastor ! The food was excellent here. Save room for desert ! Get the fig cheesecake !
Excellent seafood and expert service. Make a reservation or come right when they open for lunch . Order a little bit of everything and finish with a coconut flan .
Trendy Spot, worth the hype. Great vibe on a Friday afternoon. Get there before 2pm to reserve a table and make sure to order the whole grilled fish .
Tostadas de atún were fantastic, as was the Ceviche Contramar. Spicy guacamole , salt and lime go well on everything. This was a great find!
The tuna tostadas are just as good as everyone says, and don't forget a slice of fig tart for dessert .
Quite good. Fish al pastor was my favorite. Tuna tostadas also on point. Curious to compare is to Tacos Del Barco around the corner for a $$$ vs $ comparison.
Come with a friend, sit at the bar , and enjoy some tuna tostadas . Don’t forget the salsas ! We ate one order each, paired with margaritas
Is one of my favorite restaurants . The service is awesome, the food is the best quality and amazing tastes. A must eat in Mexico City .
Outstanding lunch . Tuna tostadas and the red snapper were particularly great but everything was excellent. Outstanding service . Try to get a table outside .
Get the aguachilli. It's a mexico city version of ceviche .
Al pastor fish tacos and tuna tostadas - yum! Many gluten free options . This place is awesome.
Pumpkin dessert available during the month of October. So delicious and of course get the tuna tostada !
Fashionable locals crowd the high-ceilinged dining room for long, loud , convivial lunches , especially on weekends. The ideal meal: oysters and grilled porgy painted with green and red sauces .
Tuna Tostados , Shrimp Tacos , any of the fish , lemon tart , Cabernet , great service.
The mezcal , the tostadas atun, the tacos de pescado Al pastor . It was all delicious and a top notch experience.
Had some of the best fish tacos of my life here! the Al Pastor fish tacos were on the special menu but absolute MUST
Power lunching , even local celeb sightings (Diego Luna). Great vibe. Must go for Tuna Tostada , Albondingas, Fideos, Camarones a la plancha!
Tuna tostada obviously but save room for dessert . The strawberry meringue cake was unreal.
Tuna Tostadas are a must! Pair with a margarita . The whole fish is great too, my pref the pesto sauce
Awesome mural and attentive service . Aguachile. Tuna toast . Whole fish with red and white sauce . All very good.
DELICIOUS!!!! Tuna tostado , grilled fish , fig cheese tart and shaken coffee drink AMAZINGGGG
Just like everyone says, Tostadas Atun and the Contramar fish are excellent. Also try out the Fig tart for dessert .
Peeled muelas de cangrejo are the best, the red snapper is also a must
Tuna tostados , pescados contramar, mezcal margaritas , mango dessert , fig tart
Octopus tostada was the best. The fig cheesecake thing was amazing.
Fancy old school staple in DF, and the food is really delicious. Go for lunch but make a res in adv.
My favorite place to start the day :) consomé, cava, papillon, carajillo, huevos con camarón y salsa negra de habanero! 😍😍😘😘 - Karla Donjuan
Oysters are great (apart one in tabasco sause). Different specialtis few times a week. Very decent seafood! - Alice Nerr
The Polanco location is their flagship store. I go here because it has a Nespresso boutique where I can stock up on coffee pods. The salespeople are very professional. They carry the top brands. - Doug W
Assortment of tacos are a must try - they are all so simple yet delicious! - JM Parveaux
Great place for watching a game , order aguachile its amazing - Victor Suarez
