Monument to the Battle of the Nations

This place is monumental . It is huge and so impressive. You really must go inside and climb to the top!

Climb to the top for an amazing view at the nearby crematorium (which is disguised as a castle , but with chimneys)

10€ per adult is not cheap and the stairs to the top are definitely not for claustrophobic people but I think it's worth it for the view !

Great monument to visit. I wouldn’t recommended the audio guide since there was only maybe 3-4 places I saw that had any audio information.

Keep climbing to the top for an awesome view of Leipzig (or cheat by using the elevator ). Well worth it.

By the looks of this place, it seems Germany had been VERY relieved to have beaten Napoleon . The largest war that had ever been waged up to then. Ironically WWI took off shortly after this was built.

Awe-inspiring monument , unfortunately closed New Year's Eve.

Impressive. Doesn't make sense to go inside. Buy the special edition of Mosaik.

fee for entry is too high. not worth. take a walk around. its anough and inside see not more. nothing interesting to do there. its a shame they rob people to reach upper plateau

This monument is ugly, so massive and pretentious . BTW they don't take visa cards, so make sure you have enough cash.

Imposantes, wunderschönes Denkmal . Leider war das Museum geschlossen, aber ein Blick von Außen ist auch ein Muss wenn man Leipzig besucht.

Was ich sehr gut finde:#Park and #Ride Stellplätze direkt am Völkerschlachtdenkmal in #Leipzig. Kann ich ehrlich gesagt nur begrüßen!

Mimari adına muhteşem bir eser. En yukarıya çıkmak asansör yardımına rağmen çok yorucu çünkü asansör bir yere kadar hizmet veriyor daha sonra dar merdivenlerden anıtın tepesine kadar tırmanılabiliyor.

Beeindruckend und zugleich beklemmend aufgrund der Geschichte. 1813 starb in der Völkerschlacht jeder fünfte Soldat. Das Denkmal sollte die Deutschen stolz machen.
