The Woodman has been very down at heel for some years, has had several periods of closure and a number of question marks over its very survival. But this pub is a true survivor.

Recently reopened pub that’s going to be next door to Carson Street rail station when it’s built. Nice big windows and a proper old school pub feel.
A proper pub . Excellent choice of small craft brewers beers and good food. No national brands. This is how pubs should be!
Burgers are very affordable , tasty and come with some of the nicest chips I've eaten.
Authentic real ale pub with good food and a range of ales and ciders . Traditional decor and great to see it survive
Great real ale pub , and good food. On this visit I had a fantastic Kinver Brewery Black Ram.
Lovely ornate interior. Great real ale .
Lots of real ales on tap , foods not bad either. The smoking room behind the bar is proper peaky blinders.
Plenty of options on draught .
Try the burgers !
Gents loo is basically outside. Wrap up warm.
Really ambitious and good! Lovely food, not too expensive, proper beer garden and a big jolly place! - Mathilda Larsson
