Everything ordered exceeded expectations; every dish made well , and quite delicious. Service was prompt, friendly , and personable. Ambiance was on key, and the setting was perfection.

Small, charming & pleasantly luxe - perfect spot for a weekend getaway. Be sure to make a reservation for Bar Louis and ask for a booth in the back room. Also, turndown service cookies are A+.

Despite the fact that 20 or so Presidents have stayed here, the food is reasonably priced. Have a fine cocktail on the porch on a sunny afternoon and you'll never want to leave.

Est. 1852. Louis Fauchere bought the hotel after leaving work at Delmonico's and claimed he invented Lobster Newburg here in 1867.

Really incredible continental breakfast (croissants , amazing yogurt with granola , grapefruit with carmelized brown sugar ) - also there's an amazing patisserie next door).

BEST (free) continental breakfast evah: homemade granola and yogurt , caramelized sugar grapefruit , fresh pastries , fresh squeezed oj , etc.

The sushi pizza and passion fruit/jalapeño margarita are a must!

Everything is great here.....the service and food are high glass and we love coming here to just unwind.

Get the bacon pancakes . They are the best I have ever had! Really!

I'm quite sure I could be extremely productive, writing- and researchwise, if I were to sit on the wrap-around porch for extended periods of time...
