With outdoor dining overlooking Fort Port Channel, it's a great gathering place for a celebration, and boasts thick clam chowder and a selection of fresh fish daily.
Great place after a day tearing through the city . End at the wharf for some cold beers & great clams , oysters , cocktail shrimp . Don't be turned off by the touristy look. This place is solid.
If using malt vinegar for fries/fried fish , make sure the "shaker top" is on the bottle; otherwise you'll have drowned your food in the liquid. If available on draught , try the Barking Crab White.
Open year round, this Seaport district fixture is a great spot for on the water dining. Arrive by boat & dock at the marina during low tide. The menu features seafood options from across New England.
The best place ever! Love the fresh seafood . Great job Sarah, Katie and Josh! Can not wait for my next visit to the Boston area...my number one spot to hang out

It can edge into tourist territory, and certainly looks the part, but it's a worthwhile stop on a summer afternoon or evening — especially now that the Seaport is an actual place to spend time.
Don't remember what it is called, but essentially seafood stew , with lobster , haddock , littlenecks & mussels . Amazing! Crab cakes look amazing. Fantastic atmosphere. Right next to Children's Museum .
Great place for seafood . Beer selection is pretty good. Fried clams and oysters are pretty good. Occasionally they have specials like the soft shelled crab burgers which are awesome.
Atmosphere is fun, oysters are fresh, and dungeoness crab was delish. Come here with a lot of time and in a good mood!
Delicious lobster in a relaxed atmosphere ! Plan some time to go there! Often crowded ! Definitely worth the waiting time! Spot for tourists and locals as well !
Really popular place! We'd have to wait for 15 minutes to get in! But is really costed it, because the dishes was delicious, staff very friendly . Sure to come again.
Oh my!! I could not get enough of the fresh seafood . Love it! Sarah, Katie and Josh you are the best! Can not wait for my next visit. Thank you!!!
Get a table at the window and you'll enjoy a beautiful & breath taken view 🌆🌃🌉⛵🚤 plus the food is delicious!!! Plus is casual nothing fancy !!
Great service whilst waiting for our table, decided to go for the lobster risotto and Fishermans Platter :) Fantastic live music too!
Enjoy a spectacular view of the harbor from outdoor picnic tables while chowing down on either of 2 lobster rolls—the Boston Lobster Roll or the Naked Lobster Roll which comes dripping in hot butter. Read more
Try the crab cakes for appetizers and the lobster roll is a great choice for your entree.
Live music , great summer vibe, fresh fish ... what not to love. Also the view .
Huge lobster roll . They also have a HUGE lobster you can eat....if you can afford it. Decent beer selection , but order at the bar if you can, it gets busy!
Unpretentious, no-frills superb lobster and oysters and crab . Do not miss it!
My favorite memories...paddling a full dragon boat (head, tail and all) and docking it below some ogle-eyed customers. Then smashing a crab , enjoying sweet sangrias , and paddling all the way home.
Sit at the bar and talk to Jay. He knows his stuff and is one of the best servers I've had. The peel and eat shrimp are awesome. As are the Oyster Shots.
Located on the edge of Boston’s historic Fort Point Channel, The Barking Crab has become one of the city ’s best-loved meeting and eating spots.
You have to try this place. Original in everything that they served.
Crab dip packed full of crab . Lobster mac n cheese was incredible. Boston baked scrod = buttery baked fish goodness. Naked lobster roll jam packed with buttery lobsta. Top it with Sam Adams Brick Red.
Naked lobster rolls are the way to go. So much better than the mayonnaise regular ones
The New England clam chowder is amazing, as is the lobster roll .
Tourist or not (guilty...) this place really hit the mark in providing some delicious Boston chowdah with a side of harbor breeze
Order some clams and a bucket of beers and enjoy the outdoors. Read more
Definitely a tourist spot but with great food. The naked lobster roll is awesome. Lots of lobster without all the work. Beware of the bathrooms , though. They're tiny and scary.
Excellent foods, great service. Our first time visiting and will definitely come back.
One of the greatest experiences in sea food !
Best crab cake appetizers anywhere. Outside atmosphere is cool, definitely for tourists . Excellent service !
Really LOVE the Janet & Michael playlist while I'm eating my Naked Lobster Roll and drinking a pitcher of sangria .
Food was great, atmosphere was awesome, and loved being in the middle of history!
Everything! Great fresh lobster and crab legs
Lobster roll , seafood casserole , and shrimp kebabs .
Rustic , unpretentious, and delicious. Order a lobster , eat the whole thing (tomalley too!) and be happy. - Kellie, Community Manager
Woah, $21 for a lobster roll ? Make it to a more authentic spot for more lobster for the buck.
Lobster are adviced. If you do not want to strive combing out the lobster , sandwich ones are ideal.
It's a tourist spot so don't come expecting five star treatment. If you're a local though, tip well , smile and have fun. You'll be taken care of.
There may be no place in Boston better to be on a warm Summer night with someone you love. Or even someone you might someday.
Chilled shellfish platter was good, lobster roll was good too- so buttery
This is it, New England style! As good as expected and then some.
The Barking Crab has some of the best -- and biggest -- seafood dishes Boston has to offer. -Adam Richman, Man v Food Nation
Atmosphere was great. Crabs were awesome, fried platter not so much.
Great lobster , oysters and fish tacos
oh by the way, sweet potato fries are big fried chunks of actual yam/heaven.
Naked lobster roll ! Bloody Mary's are spicyyy 🔥
Haven’t had the best lobster roll twice. Wouldn’t heat it up when warm?
Lobster, their services, salmon and Thai calamari are amazing.. Popcorn shrimp Uhmmm yummy - Catia DaSilva
It's worth it for the history! The chowda is great! - Andrew Bestafka
Get a pitcher of red sangria! Amazing views and lots of attractive people - Chris Baker
