For me the best thing you can see in this museum was the dinosaurs and the entire collection of Canadian art , to engage in the predecessor cultures : Aborigines and European who formed the country .
Great museum . Especially loved the exhibitions about Canada and the dinos . Come early in the morning to avoid huge crowds.
Wonderful visit with my 9yr old daughter. Lots to see, spent much time in Earths Treasures section. The special exhibits are great to excite repeat visits.
This is more of a natural history museum with biological and cultural exhibits . The Buddhist sculpture wing is nice. Not many European paintings . Great for dinosaur lovers.
If you can squeeze an hour before dashing to the airport , spend it in ROM. It is that good. They have many temporary displays. So visit many times. It can get too busy during school breaks.
The Royal Ontario Museum offers FREE admission to the following: full-time post-secondary students every Tuesday, and the general public every third Tuesday of the month from 5:30PM.
Very family friendly with lots of special added hands on fun over the holidays. I've been there many times over the past few years and find something new each time!
it’s a huge museum and you should go there early in the morning to have enough time to visit all five floors. the best part for me was the middle eastern section. it reminded me of my home country .

Beautiful museum . If you have intermediate knowledge of a topic you might feel a bit lost in that area of the museum . Make sure to join a tour , they're great!
Whale exhibit was very cool and informative. Blue whale was beached and a few years later it is at ROM now.
Very good for everyone! Generous and stunning! Big and fun enough for a whole day visit.
Didn't love the 2.50$ per item to check at wardrobe and the place was not very warm (on a very cold day) but you can really spend several rainy days here! So much to see and very well curated imho.
Ask any kid who has visited the ROM: the CIBC Discovery Gallery 's dino dig is a must-see (or rather, must-DO)! Be sure to allow extra time (there might be a line ) & park your stroller at the entrance.

Great place to wander for the afternoon. Wonderful exhibits . Building is a little confusing trying to figure out where all the exhibits are. Signage isn't great but the Staff were quick to help.
Can't recommend the Friday Night Socials enough to students of all varieties, from social to nerdy and everything in between. An unprecedented crossover worth more than one night's visit.
Love the hands on area and the bat cave - this is a museum for adults and kids! Definitely, good value if you take family membership!
Highly recommend visiting the blue whale exhibition , the tragic story will both touch your heart and inspire change.
c5 Restaurant Lounge , located at the top of the Crystal, offers views of Liza's Garden , a sustainable garden installed on the museum rooftop , as well as the Toronto skyline.
You probably saw the awesome architecture already (unless you entered blindfolded), so we'll save you that one. Hope you brought your camera ... pictures with the family at the museum are awesome!

As per my point of view , this is the best museum among all that I have seen. You will enjoy there. Thanks Dale Vander Woude
The museum itself has many different exhibits which is good if you like a lot of variety. The staff member we encountered was rude though. They give you a free map too!
Great museum , big and rich with history. There was a Pompeii exhibition also when i went. It was great.
We went for the photo exhibition and then enjoyed a quick walk through. I am disappointed in the disfigurement of the Chrystal add-on. But the old museum still shines through.

So much to do and see! Plan to spend at least a solid 4 hours to get through everything.
When your there don't forget to check out the new bat cave and dino exhibits , they are a lot of fun. Also, if you're feeling adventureous (and feel like spending a little bit of money) go to the rest
A modern museum with canadian history as well
I would advise to pay special attention to the dinosaur section as many of the exhibits are real bones!
Make sure you give yourself at least three hours to properly see all the exhibits .
Budget at least 3-4 hours to see the whole thing. If you come on a weekday, there will be school trips here
There's so much to see that you need at least a full day or two to appreciate everything.
