At mid to low tide walk across to Salt Island . Take or wear some footwear though because the island is rocky

We were here on a Sunday around 3pm on an overcast day.. free! Maybe because of the overcast.. definitely recommend.

Gorgeous beach , with a great location. Close to downtown, but must come early to get a spot in the parking lot .

Life guards are tidal experts. Be sure to ask them when the tide is coming in for a safe trip over to salt island .

$20 for parking during the week. Even though between 8am - 10am it says &10 I don't believe sign is right since we got here just before 10am and still cost $20

Small but nice beach , crane beach in ipswich is still my #1 pick.

If you move out of Gloucester be sure some of the family stays... else how you gonna get to GHB whenever you want.

I'm a lifeguard here! No skimboards or flotation devices allowed! Great beach though! Never ask us what time the tides are its annoying

Beautiful. Fun at low tide seeing all of the critters...

Watch out for the seagulls when you eat, they will swoop down and steal your food right out of your hands!!

Head over towards salt island and wade across. Lots of fun, but look out... the island is covered in poison ivy!

Get here early for parking and awesome view of where the water converges on both sides of the massive rock island

Come later in the day for cheaper parking and smaller crowds. We never arrive before 3 pm, and often not until 5.

If you don't want to pay for the parking don't come to the beach . Residents get turned away when its full. Not right.
