Really great hike to do close to Reykjavik. You can take a bus here or if you've rented a car it's an easy 30 min drive there. It's definitely a good workout and gets steep towards the end. Good views

If you're located in Reykjavik and want to do a hike not far from the city , this is it. It's a bit steep at some places, but that's just fun! Beautiful view . Be sure to check the weather forecast.

Wonderful views . A big hill/small mountain but steep & makes you work. Better to pace yourself and not burn out. Hábunga is the top of Esja, about 115m higher than Þverfellshorn but most need gps.

Lovely views worth the huffing and puffing uphill. Visit the cafe at the bottom and reward yourself with the waffles !

Yay hiking ! Way more fun than the Blue Lagoon and the cheapest fun you can have in Iceland!

The trail is easy but try to have the appropriate shoes to walk in the snow. The first path is pretty slippery.

Amazing hiking spot near the city !

Janie S

the "easy" hike is hard - but a lovely one!

Hike to summit for sweeping views of Reykjavík. Serious incline
