When I eat Mee Hoon Kway at home, each piece is uniquely shaped & sized. This stall serves the same, albeit with uneven thickness (as they don't have time to roll the dough flat). Home-made chewiness!
I prefer the soup version, as it has egg + letting the Sheng Mian soaked in the soup for a while longer before eating. It has got the old-school heart-warming effect & 回味无穷 :-9
There's another stall by the same name at Kebun Bahru food centre , run by brother. Both stalls good, so when this stall closes on Wed-Thu, u can hop over to the other one which closes on Fri ????
Use the perpetual queue that snakes from the stall across the seating area to the sidewalk to find this stall .
The dried Mee Hoon Kway thickness is inconsistent, the thick ones not so fantastic & its obvious when its dried version. I think if its the soupy version with egg would be nicer.
Here's a uncommon variant ... Dry Mee Hoon Kway . Worth a try.
Something different from other noodle stall . The only stall at this food centre with fast-moving queue even before lunch time on a weekday.
This stall prawn Noodle.???? is awesome! Die die must try! ???????????? - Tan Ming
Bal Kut Teh is good. Rice and bean curd too hard. The pork leg is big, soft and yummy. - Helen C
Threadfin belly porridge is best. Fried beancurd skin and the century egg are must-tries! - Leo C.
Get one of Singapore’s best local snack here - the kaya butter toast. Goes well with local coffee and soft boiled eggs. Comes in a set @ $4.80. - Ting
Their fried fish is very crispy. recommend to order an additional serving of fried fish. - Alex Ho
