Modern Italian with a touch of home. Great to share. Order the Pork fingers yogurt cucumber , Half chicken roasted , Polenta dolce latte radicchio and Rocket farro grapes almonds zucchini
Holy moley. This place hits a great Nostalgia stop for me. The bread and oil was delicious and there was a zucchini flower special entree. Fantastic service.
Everything was delicious. Yummy pastas and dessert . Friendly service . Fit-out is a touch cold and unwelcoming so you don't want to linger. But good food.

Food is quite different to your typical Italian restaurant , no pizzas and a few pasta dishes. The highlight of my experience is the exceptional customer service and the lamb fingers .
The mushroom pasta is a tad to salty for me and the sauce was not suited for my personal taste. Veal malinese is ok. This place is a bit pricey . Great ambience and exceptional customer service.

With some many competing options in Surry Hills for Italian, I wouldn't choose Besser - food is ok but overpriced for its quality
Pasta was not very good. Service was OK.
Order a side salad with the duck tortellini, it's so rich and salty, it needs something fresh and light to balance it out. The take home pastas and pesto are to die for. - Marianne N
