A true NYC institution, this revamped spot is still serving up delicious drinks - they have 12 kinds of Negronis - and even has patio seating for summertime sipping. We recommend the Al Fresco Spritz.
The Ulikely Negroni is a weird and wonderful potion, one of the most creative cocktails in the city . Burrata with whole roasted tomato , pesto and crostini is cheese porn.
Wow!! A must try in this neighborhood . Delicious red wine and handmade pasta and ambience for days...well years since it's been open since 1915!
So good! Fun atmosphere for drinks and the food is ???????????? pappardelle with boar ragù was so good! Also had a great glass of Cabernet Sauvignon for a decent price.
Espresso bar sine 1915 and NY landmark , it didn’t become a drinking destination until bartending legend Naren Young took over in '15. Try the $10 Negroni Sessions (12 options) between 3-6pm weekdays.
Never too crowded , amazing cocktails , solid brunch + dinner . A place you can post up for hours (and should).
Probably the most authentic setup for outdoor dining amid this pandemic with live swanky music & ornate glass dividers. The food is as excellent as you remember. Vibrant cocktails and fresh everything
Dante is always a good idea! The place where the tastiest food, great choice of cocktails , and fantastic service are guaranteed.
Veal ragu and sidewalk dining. One of the best locations for people watching . New York institution famous for their bar program. Get the cannoli too.
Supposedly one of the best bars/cafes in NYC... but its changed owners and changes to menu, vibe, etc over the years -- the burrata cheese (on anything) is delicious and gooey and oh, so good
I've been many times with the hope of trying all of their pastas . But each time, I end up getting sucked right back in by the fantastic pappardelle with wild boar ragu .
Wonderful negroni menu . Chocolate and Unlikely are great.
Excellent cocktails and vibes. House made ricotta , octopus starter, and wild boar pappardelle were delightful
Negroni Sessions offer a seasonal menu of 13 signature Negronis (all wonderful in their own way, especially during happy hour from 3-6pm daily for $10)
One of my new fave cocktail bars and restaurants in nyc. It deserves its world top 50 rating. Have the negronis . Oh and their Bloody Mary is epic!
Too many food options to pick from; they all sounded so good! Green bowl was a good portion. Negroni session was not available for brunch which was a bummer. Will have to return for that for sure!
Spaghetti alle vongole is very well done! Nothing beats the vibe at Dante, such beautiful ambiance, great staff and the perfect music . Great date night spot as well . :)
This is so not a dark and dank mixology spot, and it shows in the upbeat mood of its customers who appreciate lots of natural light , leather green banquettes, and smiling bartenders . Read more
Great new spot from ex-saxon and parole peeps. Great cocktails esp negroni menu . Also has outdoor seating .
Negronis are awesome, course. Great food! Try the octopus or burrata if they’re on the menu.
try to get in during happy hours (3-6 pm), unlikely negroni is awesome!
It's that simple, pleasure-seeking ideology that embodies Dante, the beloved MacDougal Street Italian café turned small plates restaurant and cocktail bar in 2015. Read more
The Garibaldi remains the must-order libation. Made with Campari and ‘fluffy’ orange juice , it is the bar in a microcosm – an old classic brought back to life.
Ambiance, people watching , gorgeous & tasty drinks and yummy appealing brunch dishes . Book ahead
Quaint little place with great vibes! Staff are attentive. Great negronis the place is filled with locals. The boar ragu was nothing special. Steak was better. Their vermouth was a little strange.
Always, always do a Garibaldi to start off your experience.
Come in at the bar for a decent afternoon snack sit down.. negro is not bad….
So glad they reopened. While the atmosphere is a little different since the rebrand, there is nothing quite like having an espresso at Dante.
Best Aperol spritz in the city , down to the almond-stuffed olive . So lovely.
Go for the drinks and the innovative/interesting side dishes. Avoid the pasta . Great spot for a quick bite to begin the night but wouldn’t make it my main event .
It’s a simple math. Almond milk pancake + Cafe Dante coffee = a combo to die for????
Cute Italian style eatery with great wine list and some stellar dishes like burrata and steak but also some disappointments like burnt flatbread
PureWow: "$9 Negroni happy hour , featuring a dozen riffs on the cocktail , including chocolate- and lavender-infused versions alongside the classic"
Their Vongole soup spaghetti was amazing. We started off with the Burrata which was good but didn't like how it was served with a roasted tomato .
Outstanding bar , the "unlikely negroni " is a perfect 10 drink.
Their cocktails are incredible, so be sure to try their seasonal creations.
Amazing espresso drinks . Several delicious options with liquors
You can't probably go wrong with any drink but negroni on tap and gin and tonic are my favorite.
Amazing food. The best Apperol Spritz I’ve had outside of Italy (ask for two olives )
For the love of cocktail garnishes , make a reservation . Even on weeknights, planning to squeeze in at the bar is a fool's errand
The cocktails are great. Good vibe. Skip the food. Manager appeared distracted and probably shouldn’t be at the helm of such a busy / iconic place.
like but not love. get the Old Pal: it's a perfect Negroni-Manhattan. the steak tartare was also superb
Could be the perfect date spot . Could be.
Amazing cocktails . Try the old fashion with rye .
Aperol sprtiz is great. Negroni is great. Food is great. Service is great.
Beautiful fresh food , coffee , deserts and cocktails
Favorite bar in NYC and best spot for negronis and live music
You should be drinking cocktails here. They do some amazing things with negronis .
The Margarita Royale is so refreshing. It's like a glass of orangeade with a kick. 10/10.
Tiramisu is the best I've ever had. Homemade .

Go for broke and get the caprese pizza. They replaced the mozz with fresh home made straciatella and it is the bomb. - Varun Shetty
