This is one of the few great music venues left in the city . So much history! If you love music , this place belongs on your bucket list, especially if you have seen a favorite band here. ( ; - )
One of the greatest venues in San Francisco. A must if you're visiting. See the giant poster room, grab a free apple , and grab a poster on the way out if the show sells out. Always a treat.
Most legendary music venue in SF . Great sound, not overly crowded even when sold out. Go early and check out the posters from all of the shows over the years in the bar room upstairs.
A great venue, which was intimate but at the same time not crowded with 1200 people inside. Looking forward to going back!
If you want your souvenir poster, you'll have to wait until the very end of the show. It's worth it, as they're often beautifully designed.
First Time Here And It Was For A Yung Lean Concert ! ????????????????????Such A Sick Venue, And I Also Enjoyed The Photo Art Around The Hallway Area! ????
The Grateful Dead. James Brown. Jefferson Airplane. Prince. The Cure. The Smashing Pumpkins . Radiohead. They have all graced this stage along with hundreds of other performers great and unknown. Read more

How could one not love the Fillmore? It's like the Vatican of West coast rock, soul, and blues . Every act I've seen there is reinvigorated by the soul of the venue.
The best venue in San Francisco? Also don't forget to grab an apple -- they are always free and usually stupendous. Don't know where they get them.
Free apples , free posters , awesome shows. Hard to find a bad view . Check out the posters upstairs and stop by the bar while you're up there!
Love The Fillmore it's legendary...last person I saw there was Karl Denson, it is one of my fave places to hear music , I have seen Prince, George Clinton and many more play there, it is special.
ladies: bring an extra hair tie - if your show's sold out, you can use it to get that free poster home safe! fellas: i dunno... make sure you grab an apple or something.
To get a poster you have to stay until the show is over. Make sure you grab one. Also take time to get to the venue early so you can views all the old posters upstairs. Well worth your time!
An easier path to the front? Head to the right on the opposite side from the bar .
I love the chandeliers , the history, even the sticky floors help add atmosphere. Fun place to see shows.
Historic music venue . All shows are good because it's the FILLMORE! Catch a drink in the Poster room upstairs .
The poster room has a great vantage point & is a fun place to hang out during opening bands that you're not that into.
My favorite place for gigs in SF. Nice sound (better than Great American Music hall)
Take your time, breathe it in. Cooler people than you have spent time here. Your ego is worthless.
Go to a concert that sells out a few days in advance and you usually get a free poster on your way out. Plus, take a look at the posters and realize how many musical gods have graced the auditorium ...
One of my favorite music venues ! Access to huge, delicious, red apples is a definite plus ????????
Historical venue, my favorite
Love this historic joint. And free posters after each show! and earplugs! ???? and apples !
The greeter's name is Tim (the guy in the cowboy attire). Sometimes the apple barrel is removed at the band's request. Free posters are handed out to concertgoers after *most* sold out shows.
Buy tickets directly from the counter to avoid Ticketmaster fees
The jerk roaming around the entrance near the box office will do everything possible to antagonize and ruin your night before you even get inside. Total disgrace to such a historic music venue .
I have seen so many shows here that I don't even know where to begin. Just come here if you can. I always have a great time (3 of 4 petals via Fondu) Read more
I love the Willie Nelson painting/sculpture over the fireplace , complete with a string of red xmas lights instead of fire!
Best music venue in SF ! Be sure to check out the poster collection upstairs.
Don’t leave without checking out the upstairs Poster Room—with psychedelic vintage poster art—and without grabbing a free apple .
Great hospitality . A place full of history. If you are here to perform , check out and talk to Mary, the monitor engineer . Great job by all the staff .
The apples are delicious! Also love their tradition of handing out posters after the show.
Beautiful temple kween palace of music // favorite place in the world
Been here plenty of times. Line starts where the Post Office doors are. 38 MUNI stops in front of the Post Office as well . At the end of some shows, they give you a free poster which is awesome :)
Really nice staff who helped me get access to the elevators because of my leg
Just a great venue. And be sure to grab that post-show poster!
Cool atmosphere! Fun concert venue .
Amazing space and fun atmosphere . Easy to get to the front of the stage!
Get as close to the stage as possible or you'll have some trouble seeing the band
Stay for the music and leave with a free poster .
Now there are tables around the floor?! Get there early and enjoy a pre-show cocktail
When The Fillmore re-opened on April 27, 1994, it was The Smashing Pumpkins playing an unannounced surprise show that filled the venue with music once again.
Best venue in the city . Grab an apple !
