The Original Katong Laksa -- Janggut Laksa is a noodle restaurant Serangoon
331 Upp Paya Lebar Rd 534949 Singapore
Same as Queenstown and this one has proper tables. I love their Laksa . Curry chicken small is nice but really too small with just a few wings , not enough chicken meat. I will try large one next time.
Stakes claim to have started selling laksa at 49 East Coast Rd in the late 50s, which became known as Katong Laksa for its location. Relocated and still operating at Roxy Sqr, Queensway , here & there
Unlike other outlets which shares space with other food stalls , the one here is operated solely by the Janggut team, & is fully air-conditioned
$5 for small laksa bowl (filling enough), $7 to upsize. Tasty but I find it a tad salty
Not as nice as their Queensway branch, but good enough to satiate a craving.
I recommend the pork rib mee & the lime juice is really good ! - Melisa Sukamto
They're very flexible - you can order everything on its own to customise your meal - Gabriel Seah
The non-stop drone of vehicles passing by can get deafening, as the shop is right next to the road - Cheen The Curious
