The patio at El Patio is so quaint and romantic with gorgeous flower baskets everywhere you look. Try a glass of sangria . You won't be sorry!
Solid Midwest-style tex-mex. Very inexpensive . Sangria is good. Don't come here expecting authentic Mexican food though.
Don't forget the chocolate cake . It is a best kept secret in Des Moines

Cheese Dip is great. Try the Blue Marg 's. Be careful, they may just sneak up on you.
This was the first time I didn't leave a tip. The service was slow. Our waittress checked on us once in 45 min. The taco .shells were old & only had canned chicken in them. Nachos were NOT FILLING.

The owners were great to us, but the service was slow as sin. If you're looking for a good Mexican place with your quick service , this isn't the place. Food didn't make up for the service.
