Oh, thank god this place is here. I drove up from DC just to try the xiao long bao . Had the rice cakes and the mapo tofu (ask to add ground pork , it's worth it). Chinese food that reminds me of China.

Ge the xiaolongbao ("soup dumplings ") - best I've hard in the area and as close to what I've had in Taiwan as I can find. Make sure you get plenty of leafy vegetables - they are delicious. Bring cash.

If you're lucky they'll have Spicy Fried Tofu on the specials menu - great taste with some serious heat!

Delicious, authentic soup dumplings top the list. Surprisingly good number of vegetarian options and dishes that kids like. Each dish is not expensive , but can add up if you're not careful. Cash only .

REAL Chinese food , especially xiao long bao , in the DMV. I no longer have to trek to NY or CA to satisfy my craving. Both the "pork " and "pork and crab " XLB were delicious, tho I preferred pork only.

As a non Chinese, we took a peek at what others are having besides xia long bao . We ordered egg plant with garlic sauce and shanghai noodle and both were so good. Plus, food served almost right away!

The xiao long bao here are really good. Both the pork and the pork/crab version are good. Probably one of the better ones here in the DMV. I still like Joe Shanghai's up in NY better tbh. :)

You must come here for the "little pillows of happiness" known as xiaolongbao 小籠包 or soup dumplings , simply delicious!

There is a reason the lines are out the door (tip- get here by 6:15). While the soup dumplings are the star, spice it up with their Szechuan dishes , particularly the cumin lamb

Love their cold sesame noodles . Dan Dan noodles were good too but very thick/nutty. A little more oil would’ve been nice. Still hockey recommend!

Awesome xiao long bao aka soup dumplings . Also get their sour cabbage with flounder filet. 酸菜鱼片汤超好吃

A crowded places that takes payment by cash only . If you ever had a chance to eat here make sure you save room for their soup dumplings . Best in town !

Don't over order! The portions are relatively large. The hot chili flounder was delicious, while the shredded pork noodle soup was surprisingly delicate.

From Washingtonian: Focus on dumplings , specifically xao long bao , through which you poke a hole to suck out soup-like filling. Nothing on the "Taiwanese tapas " list is as fun but there are rewards

The shredded pork and mustard green soup is beyond bland. Not sure why people love XLB so much - somewhat bland other than the flavor of greasy, fatty broth.

I lived in Shanghai for almost six years. Nothing shanghainese on the menu (real) and no shanghainese people work there. Even in Shanghai, its really hard to find real shanghainese food.
