Kumba, meaning roar in Swahili, is a 143-foot (44 m) steel sit-down roller coaster with seven inversions. It was fist built in 1993 by Bolliger & Mabillard.

Second best coaster in Florida, loses only to the Hulk coaster on Universal Studios, which has the same number of inversions but is faster and launched (this park is much better tho).
Fantastic, action-packed roller coaster ! When you ride, make sure to brace yourself a bit, especially if you sit towards the back of the train , so you can avoid headbanging.
It’s an awesome ride. Be ready though, it’s the most extreme coaster at Busch Gardens . Very fast and the majority of the ride is spent upside down.
Kumba at 16 minutes drive to the southeast of Tampa dentist Carrollwood Smiles
It's a really crazy ride. I hate that my head gets banging side to side but the amount of turns and g's on this ride makes it one of the best rides in the park .
One of the best coasters I've ever ridden. Tons of corkscrews!
Seat in the middle and hold your head to the seat or else it gives you headaches.
This is my least favorite of the steel coasters at Busch Gardens . It's fun, but not worth it if the wait is long.
This legendary beast takes you from hair-raising heights to absolute weightlessness through seven inversions , all with the grace and speed of this magnificent predator.
Best in Busch Gardens in my opinion!
Montu's baby brother. Not quite as exciting but still easily 2nd best ride at the park , in my opinion.
Best rollercoaster
Best ride ever. Keep ur head back on the sear. Try the front row it's awesome...
Fun fact : the coaster has special wheels that make it "roar". Because kumba means roar
Listen to Ashley and Nikki and hold your head against the headrest. Fast, fierce, and physical coaster !
Best ride in the park . Don't waste your time waiting In line for shiekra.
AWESOME RIDE!! Intense and fast!!
Wait out the afternoon rainstorms, watch everyone else give up and go home, then ride over and over again until you can't walk straight.
Seriously hold your head back or you will rattle around like a pea . pretty good ride.
Just go! #rollercoaster
Front row low season, do it three times and head to the bathroom to throw up..
By far best coaster at BGTB...maybe Southeast.
eat a funnel cake in line for this and try not to throw up while riding with your eyes closed
Try the front row . It's fricken awesome!!
Fun fact #2: Kumba means roar in Swahili.
Fastest coaster I've ever been on.
Intense and very fun! Read more
The best ride
Hold your head back against the seat to avoid a headache!
ALWAYS gotta go on this one!
Go at night!
simply awesome!
Amazing B&M sitter!!
God damn mind blitz!
Keeping your head back doesn't help. Ugh.
Don't touch the grass it hurts
Awesome ride, might be a long wait but it is soo worth it!! :) - Brandon Ronacher
Unbelievable fun, worth the wait to be in the first car! The suspense at the top is awesome. - Kaitlyn Watson
Beautiful place. Great scenery of the water & bridge. Walked around. - Di Hoffman
Second best, maybe first (competing with Kumba) in the park. Much smoother than it looks from the outside, really cool inverted coaster. - Felipe Zavan
This was the first roller coaster I ever rode! It's still a thrill, however small. It isn't as smooth as the newer steel coasters, but worth riding! - shannon
Fun log ride. It’s a long ride and very fun. Almost a water based roller coaster. You will get wet! - Justin Lisenby
A drop with twist! The Falcon's Fury rotates the rider forward so you are looking down as you drop. Truly not for the faint at heart! - Malo Medina
