The hand-pulled noodles are a little thicker and softer than ideal, but they come in broths you'll want to slurp and scrape out of the bottom of the bowl. Solid soup dumplings and sheng jian bao .
The soup dumplings are the best I've ever had outside of Shanghai. The ramen is yummy too, but if you leave without eating the dumplings you're making a huge mistake.
Amazing soup dumplings ! Even the shrimp & loofa ones are delish (as strange as it sounds). The beef scallion pancakes and the ramen (Chinese hand pulled noodles , NOT the Japanese type) are a must!
Wonton soup is great. Plump and delicious wontons stuffed with pork and shrimp . Add extra meat (e.g. duck for $4) and Bok Choi ($2) to make it a full meal. Worth the 15 minute wait.
If you're a auth Aisian food enthusiast - the tripe and beef app is legit here, beef scallion pancake for hangovers, XLB is solid. Head over to Bibble and Sip after for an earl grey tea cream puff .
Soup dumplings are amazing! As are the fried pork dumplings . Hand pulled noodle dishes are great, the vegetables in this dish are especially good!
Excellent ramen and soup dumplings , just note that it's Chinese ramen so it may be a bit different than what you're used to, get the sliced noodles ! Oh, and eat in! Take out ruins the taste!
Shanghai Pan-Fried Pork Buns are incredible. Reminds me of famed Yang's Dumplings in Shanghai.
So very good. The soup dumplings have a very clean , non greasy taste. The soy-vinegar mixture was sweetened with sugar, but you can ask for it to be unsweetened which is my preference.
Excellent customer service, delicious ramen , pork buns and dumplings . Great location near Times Square and prices are fair .
Hole in the wall with great food and fast service . Convenient to theatre district. The dumplings steamed or fried are a great choice. Scallion pancakes are crispy good too :)
Dumplings , pork buns & ramen are delicious, you can't go wrong with these items. Customers service is excellent, great location near Times Square and prices are just right
Good stir fry . The noodle soup is unique and the beef is good but the broth not as rich and flavorful as I assumed. Go with classic Chinese instead!
Good soup dumplings , but my favorite was the beef scallion pancake sandwich . Also really liked the stir fried noodles
The house specialty ramen is great! Also love the kung guy steam buns (xiao long bao ). Fresh, hand pulled noodles . Not Japanese ramen - this is a Chinese place !
Get: spicy beef ramen (noodles are hand pulled!), pork soup dumplings , scallion pancake (regular, no beef ), and pan fried pork buns for a real taste of shanghai!
dumplings are delicious! recommend the soup dumplings , pork and crab dumplings , and beef scallion pancakes
Tomato egg , beef ramen , and cucumbers all solid. I'd pass on the rice shumai . Also. They don't have rice ! What! Haha. Overall great though
Midtown is a food desert . This is an oasis. Pork soup dumplings , spicy beef ramen , beef tripe , spicy tofu , all amazing.
I'm not a ramen/dumplings guy but this place was delicious! Absolutely get the scallion pancakes stuffed with beef , as well soup dumplings and buns .
A combination of the Lanzhou-style la mian Song traveled to the region to study; Shanghai-style soup buns , or xiaolongbao ; scallion pancakes stuffed with beef .
A surprisingly authentic Hong Kong experience. Duck Ramen is the best. And of course soup dumplings and scallion pancakes . Mmm mmm mmm mmm
The Kung Fu Steamed Pork Buns are a delicate little bun full of savory pork dumpling and soup , the perfect pick me up on a rainy day.
Get the steamed buns #1,2 or 3. They are amazing soup dumplings ! DO NOT MISS OUT on the scallion pancake with beef . Best thing I have eaten in a while. So yummy!
The steamed buns are better than the ramen . An excellent inexpensive spot in a pricey neighborhood .
Amazing scallion pancake with beef . Think pork buns , but sub scallion pancakes and beef ! So tasty!
Authentic Chinese food which can accommodate vegetarians . Get the scallion pancake & go for the steamed vegetable buns (VEGGIE SOUP DUMPLINGS). Can't find those anywhere. No ambience & cash only .
Do yourself a HUGE favor; pop into this place and get a big ole bowl of Seafood Ramen . You will be happy you did! Sheer Awesomeness!
Best dumplings ever !!!!! Really really amazing
Delicious chinese-style ramen . Try the spicy beef noodle soup ; the kungfu steamed dumplings are actually xiao long bao and not too shabby!
Soup dumplings are super juicy with soup and thin skinned. On point! Duck buns are tasty tho slightly greasy. Got stir fried hand cut noodles w chix..it was just ok.
Shanghai fried buns , pork soup dumplings , scallion pancake , wonton purse in casserole
The soup dumplings here are amazing. Expect a wait & to be seated with strangers. Totally worth it though!
Fuckin awesome. Scalion pancake sandwich and soup dumplings ! Tripe and pig ears too if you like tasty weird shit like me
Love the steamed dumplings . Their chicken ones are really good. And def ask for the hot oil . It hits the right spot.
Absolutely delicious soup dumplings and the beef scallion pancakes .
The soup dumplings are the standout here, but I also really liked the pan fried dumplings and sticky rice stuffed shumai .
My wife is chinese and said the soup dumplings are very good. I loved all the stuff we got.
Get the "china iced tea " it's good. It's Wong Lo Kat. The famous Chinese "cooling" herbal drink.
Solid soup dumplings and awesome scallion pancake with beef ! Will be back once they start serving breakfast !
Pretty much everything is great. It is always hard to choose between going on all in on dumplings or getting noodles .
Ramen noodles with beef , scallion pancakes and pork steamed bun...all fantastic. The wait is worth it.
The peking duck ramen and crab/pork soup dumplings are outstanding!
Growing up in Shanghai, these xiaolongbao are the best I've had in the city so far. This low ???? spot is ????????
Hidden lunch gem in midtown. Get the soup dumplings and any of the ramen dishes.
I haven't found XLBs in manhattan that I thought were good but that search may be over. Really good hand made noodles too.
Steamed crab dumplings is very good second to the best in Shanghai.
Soup dumplings are simply better than Din Tai Fung
I look forward to meetings of events that I need to attend nearby so I can stop here for a quick and delicious lunch .
The pork buns are heaven. Also love the spicy beef Ramen with hand-pulled noodles .
Everything was delicious. Ate the whole fish, stir fried cabbage, and the lo fen. - Andrew Chao
