Chilli Chicken small plate is a little dry (no gravy ), good for sharing since you won't be eating all of it by yourself.
The South Indian version of Curry Up Now - Chili gobi is great, along with dahi vada and Madras coffee .
Try the Dosa and Uttapam. a good option if you are looking for Indian food in San Mateo
Inexpensive , amazingly delicious, and huge portions ! A truly welcome change in cuisine to the San Mateo area!
Try Chinese Thali .
The best fast food Indian place around. Beats Curry UP Now or any Indian Buffett by far. Supper tasty Dosas !
Has pretty good south indian dishes and indo chinese fusion options. Hakka noodles choemein are pretty good
Place has been remodeled. Food was just ok. Best value are the dosa . They don’t have ice here.
Chicken chettinad dosa was really amazing. Loved it
Save room for a dessert dosa . I had one with honey , fig , and goat cheese . AMAZING
Dosas . Try the ones with chicken or lamb .
Get the UK (chicken )
Looks like this place is under new ownership and it smells and looks great! For the first time I've ever seen, it's packed at lunch .
Try the Indian Chili Cauliflower over Noodles . You won't be disappointed!
Formerly The Dosa Republic. Same menu but I wish they changed the font
They changed their name to Chennai Club and made their menu easier to follow.
Great dosas and thali 's. Service is slow.
Have the vegetarian thali !! It's the best !!
Good place.. Amazing food!!!
Anything with dosa !
Chettinad dosa is amazing here.
Use a credit card. Square Wallet confuses the cashier .
Learned that dosas are gluten free !
Free soup if you check in on yelp.
Food was good. Menu was confusing and hard to understand. I finally just ordered not really knowing what to expect.
If you like curry up now you will live this place.
Was really mediocre. Perhaps because it's under new management. Appetizers were decent, dosas barely mediocre and desserts/chai were awful. Service left a lot to be desired.
So much better than curry up now
Hot. Spicy . Ew.
Don't try Pineapple Rasam. It's not worth it.
Love the chaats here. Pav bhaji , paneer tikka roll and sexy fries are must try - Pavan Kulkarni
I always get the Tikka Masala because it's great. Even their water is great. - Michael Alba
Loved this spot. More Californian than Indian. Olive oil poached halibut and the smashed peas dishes were great. - Bridget Gael
Best grocery sushi I've ever had. They will also custom make rolls for you. This is my go-to lunch meal. - Samihah Azim
Great beer and wine selections and awesome environment to just chill with a drink and friends. Only wish they had happy hour specials. - Liz Rosenblum
