The RISD Museum, is Rhode Island’s leading museum of fine and decorative art, housing a collection of 84,000 objects of international significance. It is southeastern New England’s only comprehensive art museum and is accredited by the American Association of Museums.

Cool small museum . Highly recommended. I loved the student work. I mean, obviously, because RISD is like the best art school in the US.
Great small museum with notable Impressionism, design, and Roman collections. It's easy to spend hours here since there aren't many visitors during the weekdays and you have the place to yourself.
Free admission on Sundays . Select one or two things to look at to not be overwhelmed (great Asian art collection !). Bring your student ID for reduced price during the week

This museum is deceptively large. If you think a hall or stair won't lead to much, it probably leads to 3 entire galleries .
