Daniel Castleberry won some kind of lottery in 1821 when he inherited a chunk of land in downtown Atlanta. Years later, the area became known as Castleberry Hill. Coincidence? We thinks not.

In the mid-nineteenth century, Castleberry Hill was plagued with prostitution, gambling , and cockfighting. It became a red-district that the locals dubbed "Snake Nation".

You owe it to yourself to check out the Elliot Street Pub . It's a hole-in-the-wall joint run by awesome folks.

Castleberry Hill is also known as "Atlanta’s Hollywood Back Lot." "The Vampire Diaries," "The Walking Dead" and "Teen Wolf" have all been filmed here!
