Zaguán Latin Bakery & Cafe

Locals love this little Latin gem. I could eat here any time of the day and for any reason, but daytime is my fave. I get the Zaguan sampler and fresh-squeezed juice . You won't be disappointed here.

We think the Arepa is amazing! It makes for a great lunch so long as you can resist the impulse to curl up under your desk for some postprandial hibernation.

Hands down the best chicken soup in town . Don’t miss their delicious tostones dipped in bright cilantro laden salsa ! YW!!!

Cachapa and arepa are the only latin items here. Everything else is nothing more than a normal dish with a latin city next to it. Also you can find Venezuelan and Colombian sodas which is a plus

Service is very leisurely... Don't come if you're short on time. My favorites are the pastries ... Tried the cachapa but it is overhyped. Skip the plantains (4 small pieces) and get the fruit .

Stop in here for breakfast or brunch on the weekend. The fruit juice is fresh, and try the cheese arepas .

Cachapa with cheese , ham and, possibly, mushrooms is a life changer! Also, good overall pastries - dulce de leche and alfajores .

The Reina Pepia Arepa is excellent especially for avocado lovers. And you must have a Frescolita soda - it's the best soda from Venezuela .

They serve food that is heavy on the starch offerings (high carb for you young ones). But it's good.

If you order a mocha , get the largest size because they'll only fill it halfway and the foam takes up another fourth of the cup. Don't tell them not to make it "too chocolatey ".Amazing alfajores ...

Get the Ham & Cheese Cachito & iced tea ssooooooo delicious! You also can't go wrong with anything from the bakery .
