Shunka

this place is amazing, I am surprised no one left tip yet. Very authentic (passed my Japanese picky eater friend's standard). If you prefer quality over quantity then you will love this place.

As sushi aficioados, my son and I have our favorites here in coastal Orange County . My son nailed it when he said "Yuki-san is all about the fish " not alot of fluff, just amazingly fresh, tender fish !

Do try the ocean trout sashimi and salmon or yellowtail collar, great dishes and most value on this menu.

Come often. Tuesdays are especially wonderful. Order the "anything" because you can't go wrong here. Plus, new bathrooms are very swanky !

Avoid the Shunka roll, It has FOUR SAUCES! Mayo and ponzu inside, sriracha on top, drowned in eel sauce . Sushi for people who don't like the fish . The fish in this roll is cooked too, it's atrocious.

Decent quality on fish yet I hate their "Shari" (sushi rice ). It must be hard enough to be able to hold it with hand, yet crumble in the mouse . Sushi is deep and art . It takes years to master it..
