Enjoyed the oysters (we shared three varieties) and although the pork chop was ok, the halibut was good but pricey . Definitely save room for coffee & their Asian Pear Frangipani tart , it is delicious.
Order the (pay-what-you-want) tasting menu , then sit back and enjoy dishes that showcase pickling , fermenting, preserving, roasting, grilling, and all the other creative techniques of the kitchen.
This is a great destination for a trip to Bainbridge Island. Walk or bike on a ferry- but make sure to check the return schedule! We almost missed the last ferry and got stuck!
The best restaurant on Bainbridge. Their deli next door is great too, as is the Monday night pizza popup, Bruciato (soon to be its own restaurant )
Our first visit, when I told the server I'm vegan , she checked with the chef and reported back: "He said 'Bring it!'" He always puts together a truly delicious, beautifully seasoned dish . My fave.
The marbled Alaskan salmon was delicious, but the real winner was the chocolate and rye ice cream sandwich for dessert .
ke a ferry from Seattle to Bainbridge. This is a really yummy spot to make your destination. But make sure you look at the ferry times for the return- we almost got stuck on the island !
If you go with a group I would stay clear of the chef 's tasting. Didn't come out as individual servings which was a bit strange too. However, the chicken entree was amazing, highly recommend!
On Mondays they do a whole chicken dinner that is perfect for 3 when supplemented with some snacks
Try the Snow Creek Mussels , Hitchcock Chorizo , Amantillado Sherry , Parsley - Perfect plump mussels in an outstanding broth! #FSeatup
"Microseasonal" in its approach, Hitchcock features local produce , seafood , and meat.
Awesome drinks for a weekend morning pick me up! Also, try one of their specialty cheeses while you wait for your brunch .
We walked in the propped open door at 4:45. Bartender rudely states they open at 5 pm. No worries we will wait. He basically tells us to leave because they are having a meeting on the bar with staff
Service is ridiculously unorganized and slow, but the food is good. They have a good chef , now they just need good management.
$1 oysters @ Happy Hour , 1/2 roasted chicken , and potato gnocchi !!! Hanger steak was good but not a lot of food.
Good local food, but the attitude and lack of polished service ruins the place. They are trying.... but trying way too hard for what it is.
Bone marrow treats, Duck Liver Mousse , Fresh Salads , oysters , menu is always changing!!
Try the Risotto - Substantial and filling but light as a feather!
Try brunch here! Great menu and very reasonable prices... Super local fresh ingredients ....
I've had better service at a NJ gas station .
great drinks
The Hanger Steak is awesome.
Chicken !!! Wow simply amazing!
Try it, you'll love it!
Try the duck eggs ! Locally produced by Camp 4.
$1 oysters during happy hour !!
Let them suggest an after meal port for you...
You've got to try the trout ! Read more
Great terrace for an evening meal. Good solid seafood if not prepared in a tremendously imaginative manner. - eric bornemann
Quaint place, good food, very clean bathroom with nice HOT water. Especially enjoyed the milkshake! - Maringi Lloyd
Cuban and Pastrami sandwiches are soooo huge and delicious! Take potato salad instead of chips and take half portion as they are big enough, unless you are very hungry! Great personnel! - Tania
The lines may be long, but it is well worth the wait. Incredibly creative flavors. The blackberry and coconut were two of my favorites. - Michael Tchou
This is my favorite grocery store of all time...great selection of organic vegetables and fruits. Town & Country has a good deli. The wine department is very cool as well. - Luis Antonio Rodriguez
Try a flight. Don’t miss the bottle menu to the left of the chalkboard. - John Ware
