I love the New Parkway because it has a variety of films , trivia night , beer , all the popcorn toppings you could want, and best of all, the seating is an eclectic and colorful collection of couches .

This was super fun i highly recommend getting here early and having a drink on the mezzanine. They have board games and tables. The food is a expensive but you should grab beer/popcorn for the show.

Amazing place! Watch a movie snuggled on one of their comfy couches . The Italian sodas are great, pizza was average, but the popcorn is worth it.

Really fun theater with lots of character. Lots of hipsters and the couches are kind of filthy but its a really fun experience. Show up early to snag a good seat.

@New Parkway Theater, such an adorable theater! If you love indie films , short film fests of just hip cool environment filled with folks from the local art community, this is the place to be.

Fun decor , comfy seating , great beer and food selection, cheap movies . Classics like Harold and Maude. What more could you want? So happy we have a view-and-brew in Oakland again.

If you're looking for a comfy sofa to recline into while watching a movie , this is the spot. Feels like you're in your mom's living room.

This place is a phenomenal spot for a movie . Great food, reasonable tix and hella comfy , homey chairs.

Get excited for the popcorn topping bar ! Nori , salt, pepper , nutritional yeast and whatever else you can imagine!

I love coming for the throwback movies...theater 1 rocks with the bean bag chairs ????????????

Get here a half hour early, have someone stand in line and the other pick up the tickets. Speed walk to get the best seat, then lounge and drink beer .

Fun and funky . Community oriented. Good movies . Limited seating . Very green -- hope you don't need to blow your nose, cloth napkins and air hand dryers only.

A great place for a first date. Funky chair's, good food, great customer service.

Korean tacos . Monthly MST3K shows. And everything else. Great theater.

Great little community theater in Oakland, that includes a restaurant and comfortable seating . This is my new favorite.

If you’re parking west of telegraph or far away, stow your valuables out of site or out of the car before you go to the theater. My car was just broken in and work bag with computer stolen.

For more popular movies it's worth showing up about a half hour before the show so you can get one of the better couches .

Show up way in advance if you want to sit upstairs in theater 1. Otherwise you are at a table downstairs.

Had I known that the vege panini tasted like a damp cloth wrapped in an old pair of socks, I probably would have stuck with the buttered popcorns , which were tasty.

There is a baby changing table in the handicapped stall in the women's restroom . I don't know about the men's
