Always a good time. Try the soup in a bread bowl , mac & cheese on a stick . Food is awesome and good prices compared to other entertainment events .
Amazing time. Food prices were surprisingly affordable . The impromptu shows had tons of audience interaction. So much fun. Most places only take cash though and the ATMs had a $4 service fee
Buy your tickets online first, the wait to buy them there is way too long. Once inside though the atmosphere is great. Lots of people in costumes , tons of things to see, and yummy food.
Crepes are new...and amazing! Also their chocolate strawberries are slave-free fair trade sourced!
Go when it's cool, later in the open season. Wear closed toe shoes , not flip flops. And be prepared for rocky terrain and a lot of walking & standing around.
Watch puke and snot!!! They are the best. I keep going to their shows every year, so funny! And leave enough time to travel, the roads can really get backed up. Use your maps to find short cuts!
SO many food choices. Take a pass on the smoked turkey legs , look amazing but they're really over-hyped. My faves: Mac'n'Cheese-on-a-stick, King's Baked Potato , Apple Dumpling , and Fried Brownies :P
There are plenty of delish beers to choose from. All of the food we had we great! Fun times!
Check out the Jousting ! The food is expensive but well worth it. You can easily spend hundreds throughout the day on food, drinks, souvenirs, and games.
Shakespeare Scum is a must see! Close out your visit to the Faire at White Stag’s pub singalong to avoid the traffic and meet many performers .
Mac n cheese on a steak , cheesecake on a stick, turkey leg , crab pretzel , swords, sword swallower, jewelry , costumes , every food
I wasn't really exited to go, but once there I feel in love of everything ! And i mean everything. Riding the elephant was probably the high light of the day !
If there's a forcast for rain, drive a 4 wheel drive vehicle! The lawn that's their parking lot gets ridiculous! Fun if you have a 4x4 though. Haha!
A fun place for the entire family to enjoy. Have cash handy to pay for all the unique souvenir items the kids will encounter.
Drinking relatively cheap brews, eating an eclectic mix of food all while people-watching in a wooded timeless forest . What's not to like?
Hit the ATM before you get there.See if you can buy Tickets from your work...way cheaper. You can buy outfits at etsy.com for considerably less.Visit the Honey Store...one of the best places there.
Bring cash, the ATM lines are brutal!
Loved it...went with my boyfriend and his kids....too much to do...everyone was so friendly ...great atmosphere all around!
In case you don't want to be yet another clueless time traveller, they've got costume rentals. Oh, and try chocolate-dipped cheesecake on a stick!
Go to the wine pavilion for the best wine selection . It's a hike out here, but the line moves quick.
Labor Day is a good day to go. They have added more food places so lines were quick and easy. I highly recommend going.
Great fun for the whole family or just a place to have fun for couples and singles alike.
Wear anything other than flip flops if you don't want to trip on exposed roots and stub your toe on rocks. Be prepared to get dirty !
Visit Milon at The Glass Dragon on the Queen's Path (near the entrance) for gorgeous glasswork. His work is fantastic and he does custom pieces!
Don't bring umbrella strollers .. need a jogging stroller at least ... no pavement :) one of my favorite places around by far
The knife-throwing booth by the climbing wall is the best one. Y'know, if you're into knife-throwing booths . I bet you are!
Do the Renn Faire right! Get a tankard, fill it with a beesting (cider and mead ) and wander around and people watch !
Definitely order your tickets online in advance.
Bee sting : Mead and Cider 6 bucks. Good people watching .
It's best to pre-drink because the beer lines move slower than Renaissance era dial up Internet.
Huzzah! Always a good time! Food and fun for all!
Wonderful time, although hot! Should be better this weekend! Come join us!
Best fair in the area!! Recommend the knife throwing stand, riding elephants, law and order Tudor style and the bread bowls !
More enjoyable when wearing period clothing . Immerse yourself in the revelry of merriment!
Best place to take family and friends of all ages
Bring your own mobile wifi !!! The connection at that place is terrible if not non-existent! I brought CLEAR and although it was intermittent, maybe because of the location, sure beats other carriers.
Everything. The most fun ever
Do NOT get the Lord Baltimore crepe unless you really enjoy mainlining Old Bay .
Try the Bee Stings (1/4 mead , 3/4 hard cider ). It will put you on your ass!
Not much changed over the passed couple of decades. Lot of cool shows and employees. Lines for drink and food are ridiculous though. Way more crowded than it was a few years ago.
Lots of fun! Bring cash before you get here.
Jousting for the win. All food is killer.
I friggin love this place!!
Gypsophilia,The Interpreters,The Mediaeval Baebes AND The Pyrates Royale are my favorite !!!!
Everything is Amazing!
The road getting there backs up REAL fast, make sure to give it plenty of time. If you stay till close bring a flashlight, it gets very dark.
Cash only once you're inside! Luckily they have an ATM .
This place just rocks for the whole family!! Who doesn't love hurling axes, knives, and shuriken!!
The best place in the world to visit!
Beyond love this place. Take all my money, PLEASE!
Go for the Mead. How many other opportunities do you get to drink mead, and the Linganore Wine Cellars' is a nice piece of work. - CJ Wallington
So much fun. My 3 year old loved it and is wanting to come back again! - Holli Hume
Very flashy place, great staff, parking was okay. Prices were high for drinks! - Don Wilcox
Dueling Fools - a definitely see show. Clean, well paced, good jokes and dialogue. I'd gladly see them again (and again, and again...) - CJ Wallington
Everything is good here. I personally like the oyster and shrimp shooters, and the steamed mussels best. The crab dip is amazing too. Lots of sitting and standing tables. Great place. My favorite. - Shane Worth
Just a short walk here from Boar's Head Tavern. Get a (double-pour) mead and come early for a good seat to the Mayor's Joust. - CJ Wallington
