Where do I even begin with Jolly. My ALL-time favorite restaurant in Ann Arbor! I will miss it so much now that I've graduated. Truffle fries are a MUST. Only annoyance: no reservations or call ahead.

Head to the rooftop patio and grab a sour beer . Truffle fries , red chicken nachos & South Pacific pizza are fantastic. Plus a nice selection of vegetarian options . Ask about the special glass mugs!

Get. The. Mussels . You're welcome. Great beers , especially sours, and the pizza was really good. If I'm being super critical, the crust was a little doughy, but the flavor was sooo good.

Friendly service—the Jolly Pumpkin label is all sours but they have another label as well . Try them all! Fries are great!

One of the best souring houses around. Make sure you have time to sample a few beers because they are tasty. The food is also good gastropub style fair .

My favorite experience in Ann Arbor! The truffle fries with the rosemary aioli ... and basically anything you end up ordering will be to die for.

They make their own spirits and beer ! Plus the food menu is very nice--make sure to check the specials, as they are on a different level altogether.

Chicken Sandwich and truffle fries . Gnarl Chestnut Amber is my go to! Burgers are great too.

The truffle fries are absolutely amazing!!!!!!!! My fiance got the Carnivore Pizza and it was wonderful as well ! Definitely worth a trip!

We had rosemary fries and they were amazing. I ordered steak frittes and also really good. I liked their beer selection . Amazing place!!

The beer sampler is a great chance to try all their beers . Pizza is a great price for two people to split & the bacon they use is delish. The rosemary truffle fries are my favorite fries ever.

Separate waiting lists for upstairs and downstairs, but same menu -- be sure to put your name on both, since wait times often vary quite a bit.

Noel is great no matter how close or far from Xmas you are. La Roja is just plain solid. Try 'em both.

Don't go for the happy hour as your wallet won't leave happy. Do go for the food and your tummy will be very happy.

Service is a little slow, but super friendly staff and great ambiance make up for it.

The chocolate stout is great. If you're vegan or otherwise dairy free, the soy cheese on the pizza is awesome, too.

Truffled fries are a must. They favor sour beers but the Biere de Mars is a refreshing and tasty one even if you dont dig on sour.

I can highly recommend the "Carnivore" pizza . That 130 year-old starter for the sour dough is fantastic.

They have some veggie options , their sandwiches are good. Skip the steak frites , they put the steak over the fries and ruin the fries . The beer is too warm. The polenta fries are NOT good.
