It's a dive, in a half endearing, half unsanitary way. Typical Santa Cruz. But they have surprisingly awesome acts play here occasionally.

Everyone from Nirvana to Fall Out Boy, Willie Nelson to Wiz Khalifa, and Snoop Dogg to Slightly Stoopid has rocked The Catalyst. This venue is a must for all music fans.

Stopped in for a beer to revisit the old days. Garden Room closed off. Upstairs only open but thank God you can still smoke. Here only a couple minutes and almost in the middle of a brawl by accident.
