Beyond words to express the coolness of this place, which used to be my office @ Dutch newspaper De Volkskrant . Best views of Amsterdam and great hotel / lobby/ restaurant/ club/ place to just hang out

Wow, a nice place to go to even when you live in Amsterdam. Doka, the cocktail bar in the basement is truly amazing. And in the weekends open until 7 in the morning.

Only a short stay this time bit a good one nevertheless. We stayed in the Edmund special room. Hanging chair, mountain with a bath on top and unlimited Netflix! We'll be back soon!

Café & workspace downstairs! Club & restaurant with a view from 8th floor! Sauna on the rooftop ! Rooms! Everything is great in there. This is THE hotel to stay in AMS.

The fishburger is so delicious! I had it recently and went back a few days later to have it again. It was even more grand than the first time. ???? #californiagirl

Amazing view and a nice atmosphere on the top floor. And live music and great drinks on the ground floor bar . I loved the elevators .

Very Amsterdam- casual & creative. Loved it. Check out at 12, as of course you dined ( great food btw) and partied in Canvas until the early morning. East Amsterdam is where it's happening people!

one of the most creative design hotels I have ever seen (and I do travel very often) objects, colors, spacious , relaxed and stylish feeling - all make this place a very cozy and nice place-to-be ❤️

Being hauled over as it is today, the old HQ of the Volkskrant is a hip and happening spot where people can eat, sleep, & enjoy the amazing view on the 7th floor.

I had an extremely delicious #fishburger made with cod . Best thing I have had in ages. The vibe here is very cool. #californiagirl

Volkshotel is a new minimalistic hotel *** with 172 rooms, a theater bar , open workplaces, cafe & restaurant and the nightclub Canvas up on the 7th floor. Opening up in April 2014.

Such a good concept and in a great location. Loved the room, and the lobby and bar are buzzy all day. Great place to work - free fast wifi ! Recommend!!!

Great study space/work space downstairs and a beatiful view of Amsterdam with tasty Dutch food in the rooftop . A must see if you live in AMS.

You can work on the basement floor with your laptop and in rooftop you have the view and drinks. Nice place to chill with city view .

Chill atmosphere in the cafe area where you can get a coffee and relax or work. Seventh floor Canvas has a rooftop bar with a nice view of Amsterdam .

Great place to work , party (Canvas ) or book a hotel . Artists have decorated the rooms in themes. Especially the bicycle room is nice. Creative people, reasonable prices.

small rooms, but the coolest hotel I've ever stayed in my life! you almost don't need to go out: there's a good bar , restaurant , sauna and even kinda night club . awesome!

Trendy ,hip vibe,fashion decoration,lively , music ,non-stop coffee and working area,free WiFi . My main drawback is about the housekeeping, that is below standards. They leave the trash or dirty towels.

Dinner was really nice on a Monday. Crowded , but not too full; small, but good and reasonably priced menu. Quite young crowd, love this place!

Nice rooftop with good city view . Perfect place to spend a lazy Sunday in one of the hot tubs with a cold drink

Rooftop club? Check. Hip lobby bar with Lebanese beer by the bottle? Check. This is now the best spot on Wibautstraat.

The lobby is great to take a break in, and the restaurant upstairs offers a nice view in the evenings.

Try de Volkspils in the Hotel bar . Its really nice :) they serve quite some craft beer here.

Sandwiches until 4PM only, good view of Amsterdam here.

We were here for group drinks and atmosphere and service were both good.

View is mindblowing. Food is excellent. Decoration could use more attention.

Cool interior, bad flat white . Foam on top and tasted like descale. And € 3,50.... Come on...
