Great Ren Faire . Tons of food and entertainment. Great grounds well kept. Good shopping. Get a costume and head on over!
One of the best Renaissance Festivals I've attended. It's true that everything is bigger in Texas! Awesome food options and exciting shows! The Festival day concludes with a fire show and fireworks !
Stay for the fireworks that closes the festival down each night. Truly amazing show. If you camp over the weekend, Friday night bonfires are a must do.
Amazing. So much to see & do. Print tickets for shorter lines & drive in from the north. Keep small change for tips. The entertainers are worth it. Pirate themed bar was a personal favorite spot
Come and see the Transylvanian Court. Usually in the area by the Polish pub but on ALL HALLOWS EVE we will be by the Gazebo stage. Grandmamá welcomes you! ????
Buy tickets at the Information Booth just inside the front gate at the festival . You can't reenter the festival after 6pm so if you need to go to your car do it before 6.
Everything is wonderful. The atmosphere, the costumes , the games, and majority of the food! I had a dry turkey leg but everything else was amazing
The Greek food is the best. Most entertainment is good, but you have to see the Gypsy Dance Theater at the Greek Agora! Fire, Whip Show is a must see also.
Bring cash, comfy shoes , and an appetite! You'll be entertained your entire stay with everything from music and dancing to jousts to shopping. Fun for every age group!
The craft beer selection is big and getting bigger - stop by Brigadoon Brewery for a tour of a working on-premise brewpub . And try one of their many Texas craft beers Read more
IT'S LIKE TAKING A TRIP TO A TOTALLY DIFFERENT PLACE IN TIME!!!This is the largest Renaissance Fest in the US!
Great Food, Shows & atmosphere! So many unique shops, something for everyone
Super fun, but getting out of the parking area after the festival kind of sucks all the fun out of it. IF we return, we'll definitely pay the $10 for the special parking .
Kids under 12 get in free on Sundays! Also, buying tickets online or in advance is cheaper(unless you have a corporate discount code).
We need to figure out a way to get cell phone towers so we can have signal. That way we can make the party merrier by inviting more friends :-)
One of the best cultural festivals in the USA. Excellent people watching .
Love this place just wish I could go more than one weekend
As soon as you walk in on the right ask the information monger about the weekend's themed special events !
Pay attention to the details. There are so many pretty little things tucked away in the buildings.
Check out Visker & Scrivener's Quills, Books & Oddities across from the new Birds of Prey / Fire Whip Show stage! Very cool stuff.
Spend your day here! You won't regret! It's fun, loud , raw, funny, epic, rare, Wonderful!!!!!!!!! I must to come back next year!!!!
Honestly - I paid $35 to get into a giant shopping mall with a bunch of really cheap crap from China that cost $8 to make and they sell it for $80. Stop the Elephant rides - it is cruelty!!
The TRF mead is delicious!! And steak on a stick is surprisingly tasty.
Turkey legs , apple dumplings , and mead !! Love RenFest! Take a weekend and camp, it's well worth it!!
The feast is expensive but for a buffet it has amazing food and entertainment for 2 hours.
Watch as many performances as you can they are great fun if you want to sit down for a bit and relax :)
Wear comfortable shoes and bring cash! Also, there are long lines for the ladies restroom .
Fun place to spend the day, plenty of walking, the shows are usually really good
Weekend camping pass for only $20 per car...more than worth it. Respect the patrons!
Noble House has some amazing new treasures this year. You must visit and see for yourself!
Woooooooow everything is awesome ????
Wonder around the shops food and shows until you're tired and broke ????????
Don't miss Tartanic . Great music , good showmen, a slight mix of some laughs; love these guys!
Saturdays are great but Sunday night Ghost Walks have smaller groups and usually have more weird stuff happen.
Try the King's Mead and don't miss seeing Tartanic perform !
When it gets muddy, it gets very muddy. Wear the right clothes if it's wet.
Good food. Great people watching . Clean restrooms . Can't see it all in one day. Bring plenty of cash.
A lot of walking so wear comfortable shoes ! But well worth the adventure
Go see Iris & Rose (@wildandthorny) at the Polonia Pub (near the entrance to Sherwood). Shows at 11:30, 1:30, 3:30 & 5:30.
If you're a member of Costco, buy your tickets there. $36.00 for 2.
Be anything you want to be. Come in full costume and enjoy
Make sure to see Tartanic . Cast of Bronze puts on a good show too.
Long drive from Houston. Expensive entry (even with discount tickets) and same ole over priced food/drink. Be real careful driving away when you leave. High DWI risk as you drive back to town .
Rent or buy a good costume . If you wear a generic off the shelf polyester one you will roast alive.
The food, the shows, and the people - watching
Get a Waxed Rose @ shop 41. It's cool to watch them dip a live rose in wax!
Having family and/or friends that live close by sure makes it more enjoyable!
Look for the young King Henry, get Chris the insulter to insult one of your friends, and try the muffaleta, cake fries and mead !
Rectangular spicy beef jerky just like medieval times! Huzzah!
Takes more than a day to see everything. Good food. Great people watching .
I can watch the Bird Of Prey show over and over! - Kurt Podeszwa
