Call before you turn up. They have a tendency to not give a fuck about regular customers if they've got a function on.
It's expensive , but try the 28 day aged Aberdeen Angus 'black gold' steak . It's completely fit.

Pretty poor all round. Lamb came over cooked and bavette was tough as boots. AVOID
I used to live in the cottages next door to this pub . A great venue. The Kinks band first met here & last time I checked, memorabilia was on the wall
