Ignore the bad comments on food and service. Every time we come here, the waitresses are sweet and the food is great. The views are beautiful too... Great place to watch the sunset .

This summer we toured the Maine, NH, and MA sea coast taste testing fisherman's platters. I was so impressed with Castaway's! They came in only second I Woodman's in Essex.

Excellent Food...so so service. Hostess with potty mouth on deck with 3 men. The live music from establishment next door a sweet bonus. Waiter self absorbed and spent much time dishing personal issues

Complimentary sweet salty crave worthy pub cheese at the bar . And, the VIEW !!!

Self absorbed potty mouth staff .. Females using 4 letter words employed here. Super delish chix tenders, lousy greek salad served with ZERO lettuce or greens and ZERO kalamata olives !

They can accommodate large parties, just call ahead.

The food is awesome. Drinks are pricey . Definately sit out on the deck. Sometimes the service is good, sometimes so so.

Awesome homemade potato chips , and great fries . The ahi tuna burger was AWESOME.

Waitresses are very spirited and friendly ! Ask for Melissa!

The servers are way overworked and a bit disorganized. Considering our poor waitress was running inside and outside between at least 7 or 8 tables, I'd say she did ok.Great food!Chips could use salt:)

The upper deck has a great view , it's pretty nice!

Inconsistent. Can be good, but typically slow. Don't expect your order to be 100% accurate. Getting better though.

The view was great, but the food was subpar. I ordered fried clams and they were rubbery. Serious bummer.

I ignored the reviews about the bad service, thinking my experience would be different. But they were right! I waited 15 minutes after I was seated to get up and get the waiter to order food.

Average food. Service needs attention to detail. No silverware napkins, filled 2/4 waterglasses But waiter was good.

Food is great service is mediocre

Terrible terrible service. Scallops were sooo sandy. Out of both our choices of wine . Won't go back
