Windmills at Kinderdijk

One of very few places on earth that could make you feel like you're in a dream. Just take a stroll down there on a good weather day to see what I mean.

Below sea level. Why it's not covered by water? That, detective, is the right question.

Don't skip if you visit Holland . It is full of history and nature. Two windmills have admission options as museums , get ticket for both and breath their history.

The outstanding contribution made by the people of the Netherlands to the technology of handling water is admirably demonstrated by the installations in the Kinderdijk-Elshout area.

You don't have to buy a ticket at the first counter, just walk and get a ticket if you want to visit one of the museum mills .

amazing view . no need to buy a ticket for a walk, only for boats. do not pay for parking (7,5 eur!!). just park close to the area on the street.

watching the short movie about the history of the windmills was really good also there is a little place around the enterance u should try their coffee machine it is surprisingly very well

wonderful views of windmills and nature...great to take visitors to but check the waterbus schedule

Taking a bike ride along the canals , you see so many different kinds of birds, cows, goats , horses ... it was flat & very scenic

Rent a bike , go all the way through the mills , visit the museum and have a picnic . You can easily come from rotterdam by boat

Do not miss this place, especially at sunset it's gorgeous with all the windmills !!

The 19 windmills here were used for pumping water out of the land. In other areas they were also used to grind grain with windpower.

Great experience. First you can see the movie a put windmills history and then go to the museum .

Park your car at Molenkade for a less touristic route and walk to the bridge for the best shot over the water with the windmills

Nothing much to do besides taking pictures of windmills but we enjoyed the walk there very much under the perfect weather

Rotteldam Central Stationから地下鉄 EでZuidpleinまで行ってそこからバス90系統でKinderdijk Molenkadeへ。大体1hちょっと位でいけます。
