This is a wonderful take-out spot on the Newton/Needham town lines . All of their selections are based on homemade comfort food recipes and I usually walk out with more than I originally went in for.

First time at Soup Factory and got some artichoke and calm chowder soup samples along with bacon potato salad . Clam chowder is great! Also Chris an the staff were really nice.

Best Chinese hot and sour soup . Way beyond better than any Chinese restaurant I've been to.

wait until after the lunch rush (11-2) if you want to sample things. take it from me, i work here. place is jam packed between these hours, and we try to move people through as quickly as possible.
