Grab some friends and a six pack from the bottle shop across the road , and order a Crispy Basil Chili (Chicken or Pork belly ) a Jungle curry , and then something creamy to calm those two dishes down.
Delicious! They definitely do Thai-level spicey on the pumpkin curry so modify, if you can't handle it. I was happy w/ the medium chicken larb . Not a fancy place , but affordable which is a bonus.
Enjoyed the Lemongrass Stir-fried Chicken , Chrispy Pork Belly and Beef Thai fried rice . All dishes were delicious and very filling. You might have to wait for a table but they were pretty quick
This would have to be the best Thai restaurant in Sydney. This time I tried the chilli crispy basil pork . Massamam duck and crab fried rice . All to die for!
A Sydney institution. Always ask for the fish special and the massaman curry is just about the best anywhere in the world.
The pork belly (as recommended) was good but a little on the rich side. The spring rolls and accompanying sauce was amazing. BYO .
Forget your standard pad Thai and red/green curry . The best dishes are the nam khao tod, prawn choo chee, mussaman curry & som tum . Coconut juice is perfect for killing all that spicy heat
One of the most amazing Thai restaurants , the red duck curry is mind blowing! And order the crispy duck in tamarind sauce , which isn't on the menu-- absolutely amazing!
Ho mok (steamed fish curry wrapped with banana leaf ) is meltingly soft and fragrant. Steep at $7.90 for a very small parcel but worth trying.
Really large portions of tasty grub. Street food surroundings add atmosphere, prices are restaurant level, but the food justifies it.
Great Thai food . Get in early as they don't do reservations but you can go on a waiting list and wait at the pub next door.
Delicious food. Great value . Attentive staff .
The Nam khao tod has amazing flavours and textures.
during lunch you can try some authentic Thai taste like Kouy Jab or Tom Yum Noodle Soup I can't find them on the menu so just ask the waitresses for it
Everything is amazing. Definitely in the top 3 Thai food restaurants in Sydney
Excellent pork belly dishes some of the best I’ve had in Sydney.
“Still the best down-and-dirty Thai food in town , and that’s saying something in Sydney.” - Peter Jon Lindberg Read more
Falls short of my expectations. There is no particularly cheap lunch deals available like the others have suggested.
Tom yum is totally off. I prefer a regular hot sour based than this sweet-ish coconut milk based.
The basil pork belly is amazing! Be aware they are cash only though.
Crispy Pork Belly & Basil . It's a must!!!
For a authentic thai experience. The basil chicken and flat spicy noodles is truly spicy .
Get the snapper with green papaya / mango salad . Incredible! Best Thai in Sydney, maybe in Australia...
Jungle curry is my old time fav. Maintain the same taste for more than ten yrs!
Great BYO with seriously authentic no fuss Thai food , perfect for a quick bite with lots of flavour, yum!
Pork belly was a bit over done. The duck massman curry was amazing. Bit overpriced.
Great food.. BUT the service is terrible! They're either harassing you to order or eyeing you to hurry the f*ck up with your meals!
Ask for mild chili if your tolerance is low. Flavored are incredible and well balanced.
Highly recommend the Crispy Pork and Milk tea . Want to try something different? Rosella is a dark sour/sweet drink with a herbal aftertaste.
Tasty, Great prices, love the fish ...if you like spicy go there. It was close on monday for lunch ... Double check if they open for lunch
Red duck curry is amazing!
Hard to go past Pad Prik Khing. They also do a mean Pad Thai . Take note of the ratings for hotness - they're not joking around.
Great atmosphere. Much more space than the one in the CBD.
The original and the best. Some of the best Som Tum in the city . Crisp pork belly salad is a winner. Wash it down with a coconut juice Read more
Moo Pa & Pad Prik King (crispy fish ) are the best thing on the menu, but frickn hot. But totally worth it...yum
Had a pretty awesome beef massaman curry and coconut soup
Make sure you order Crispy Pork Belly and 'Ho Mok '. The best in Sydney.
The pork belly is a must!
Good value non fine dining food
best thai food in syd. their crispy pork belly is a must! try their ho mok and beef cho chee...
BYOB ! Beware of spicyness, it’s no joke
The pork belly is tasty!
Nice thai food and big portions , GO!
Can't go past the Basil Crispy Pork Belly . If it gets too hot, order a Thai tea with milk .
Their crispy pork belly 's still the best one ^o^
holy cow, that is how massaman curry is supposed to taste. excelllent!
The red duck curry is amazing!! Arrived at 9 on a saturday night and only waited 10 mins for a table.
Jungle curry is pretty good, make sure you ask for it extra hot :)
Food is fantastic, but if you have no luck, they might squeeze 5 of you into a small round table for 4.
A jungle curry to blow your socks off; even if you are wearing shoes .
The vegetarian dish was so delicious! It was my first thai dish and I felt in love with it - Isis Gaona
This place is on the money. Authentic Thai flavours. Nice and spicy. Variety of choice. Cool interior. Affordable. Win. - Tom Lucey
Wow, pretty great food - I think they do live up to the hype. Pork belly was delicious as was the duck. They have some interesting cocktails too. - Chung Ho
