If you're out "late" (past 10pm on a weeknight), this place is your absolute best bet in the area. Vegetarian-wise, the Vegetable Chow Mein with a cheap bottle of BYO wine is exquisite.

My favourite: banana pie & ice cream ! Crispy outside, sweet & soft banana inside, perfect matches with ice cream .

The century egg and pulled pork congee is ace. Awesome late night snack and was only 8-10 bucks. Always super super busy. A hidden gem in china town

Love this place. Never had a bad meal here. The Chinese broccoli with minced garlic and the Chicken , Chinese sausage and mushroom hotpot with rice were a great combo.

One of those awesome, cheap , open-late, old school Chinese joints that hasn't changed since the 70's. Sure the waiters aren't nice, but neither would I be if I had to deal with the late night crowd.

Legendary for Chinese food at 1am. It's not pretty inside but the food is good and it stays open until the early hours.

The late-night post-shift go-to for Melbourne chefs . The interior has seen a renovation or two over the years but the food has actually gotten better. Service is still as schizophrenic as ever though.

The whole steamed flounder with ginger and the stuffed bean curd (with prawn ) are both amazing!

This is a place with double standards. They are incredibly rude to Asians but serves others like Kings and Queens. Heads up, you must spend minimum $10 per head.

The best thing to eat here is the congee . Try the one with century egg & pork . Most of the other dishes are overpriced & pretty average, better can be had for cheaper in Chinatown & surrounds.
