On a nice day it's the best view of Boston . Walk across (recommended) on the side near the Museum of Science for less traffic and wider sidewalk. Of course the other side has the better view .

The Viking statues were commissioned by Eben Horsford, a Harvard professor who believed Vikings colonized Boston 500 years before the Puritans. He also invented baking powder.
