Well worth the hype, with a beautiful courtyard and amazing cocktails (you can even keep the glass!) that come with bags of tasty popcorn . Try the hurricane and the rainstorm!
Have tried Hurricanes all over the city & this one is still our favorite. The fountain & industrial fans are a great setting to enjoy a sultry evening. To-go cups always available.
Obviously, you're here so get a Hurricane. But branch out and try the other specialty drinks , all while enjoying some tunes at the piano bar or the outdoor patio .
Every drink on the cocktail list is very colorful, and deceptively strong. You can order one to-go, but it would be a shame to miss out on the piano bar , or the lush outdoor patio . - © 2013 BuzzFeed
I been here when I was in New Orleans, I already miss it, the drink i had was so good, my drink I had there it was called a rain bowl, I really like this place so much also I miss New Orleans so much
Huge space with classic bar , dueling piano stage (wonderful musicians ), and an expansive outdoor patio/bar in the back... its known for the world-famous Hurricane drink (but it's not that good TBH)
Famous for its hurricanes and the piano bar , Pat O'Brien's is a NOLA staple. The courtyard is great on sunny days and the crowd is full of people of all kinds. Tip: Return your souvenir glass for $4.
The place is very nice and beautiful. There is a lot of options of cool beverages and delicious food. I recommend!
FUN place, got to try the famous hurricane, very good. Food is pretty good. Love the dueling pianos, VERY lively , great place to meet people ????????
Lord have mercy on me with this place! Not only is the Hurricanes grrrrreat, but the food is grrrreat too. The service was grrrreat as well ! Another spot I have to visit whenever I'm in town ! Loved it
hurricanes have gone downhill over the years - all sugar. stop in just to say u did but honestly any rum bar in town can make u a better one. courtyard is gorgeous & the rest of their drink menu great
Stopped here for lunch and drinks. This place was great! We tried the New Orleans Trio and an order of alligator bites. Very good!!
Classic New Orleans bar . Hurricanes are great to try if you’re down with the worst hangover of all time the next day. The piano bar is where it’s at though.
Known for its hurricanes. Other cocktails aren't the best but great atmosphere and people watching . Drinks are cheaper if you order at the bar and take to your table.
They have alcohol , tropical variety. Beautiful outdoor space .
Can't leave NOLA w/out hitting this famous dueling pianos bar . Impossible to get a seat late night , so go around 6pm. Killer requests: Sweet Child of Mine, Wonderwall, Smells like Teen Spirit.
Mandatory tourist spot but still fun. You cannot come to New Orleans without trying the Hurricane. Lovely and charming patio area .
A historic must visit. Get a hurricane and save the glass for a souvenir. They have a bar , a separate piano bar and a cool outdoor patio !
MEN'S BATHROOM : Keep walking through the bar , through the court yard, past fire pit , and keeps along til the dueling piano room. It's the best kept secret and empty. Don't stand in line for 30min
Sit outside in the courtyard if you can. The Hurricanes are huge and will definitely knock you down. Return your glass for $3 back at the bar , you're charged upfront for them.
What isn't there to like about Pat O'Brien's? Came here for a hurricane and some piano bar action and we were seated fairly quick maybe only a 15-20 minute wait total. Definitely worth coming to!
Coming from a NY Irishman. One of the BEST Shepard's pies I have ever tasted. Hurricane, pecan duck strips, and muffalatta sandwich were amazing as well .
Classic bar , beautiful court yard, excellent food (shrimp and grits ), live music , and of course the original Hurricane =)
Sit on the patio and drink a hurricane. And for those who don't drink, sit on the patio and drink an Eye of the Hurricane. They're a delicious non-alcoholic alternative!
The hurricanes were fantastic! (And strong.) And the ladies on the piano and Alvin, the tray percussionist, were just delightful! I'll definitely be back to this bar during my next visit to the city !
Enjoy a drink in the prettiest courtyard in New Orleans. If you don't want to lug the souvenir glass around town , return it to the bar for a refund.
The seats outback in the court yard are fairly quiet in the off season. Nice to get away from the craziness of Bourbon St.
Going to Pat O's Piano Bar was literally the most fun my group had while we were in New Orleans! The music was great and the atmosphere was so lively ! A MUST DO ON ANY TRIP TO NOLA!
Great drinks, get the hurricane like everybody else. Love the outdoor area ! Cozy in the evening when they light the fire in the fountain . Good for dates
It's essential that you stop here and get a Hurricane once as this is where it originated. Order it, taste it, and then throw the rest away because it is a sticky, sweet, nasty mess. Move on with life
Creole shrimp and a sunset for a drink was a good choice for dinner . Classic NOLA place for dinner and a drink.
Be sure to get a Hurricane! The patio bar in the back has the fastest service. They will box up your souvenir glass when you leave.
Best way to start a trip to NOLA, have a hurricane! And if you order more than one and want to keep the glasses, you can trade some in to get a variety of glasses. I have about 7 different ones
Grab a hurricane or mint julep and hang out in the big backyard patio . Great for groups .
Do what every does and grab a Hurricane from the originators ...but keep in mind there are plenty of fresher more original recipe versions available throughout the Quarter.
The piano bar is where it's at. The hurricane glass is great to take home, but I'm a french 75 kind of gal. Walk around this bar , it's gorgeous.
The Hurricane is overrated and they'll charge you for the glass if you don't mention that you don't want it... It's too touristy ! On the +side, bars create a very good ambiance and the patio is top!
Unfortunately, the red beans and rice tastes no better than unseasoned refried beans . The hurricanes are of course strong????, and the catfish and wings are flavorful.
June 2005, we went out with friends walking on Bourbon street. We got the Hurricane Drinks from Pat O’Briens, I still have our glasses we got our drinks in.
Upon entering, the line to your right is for the piano bar . Feel free to step left for a regular bar or go past straight for open-air seating and food.
Famous spot. Cool backyard area. Can't have more than one hurricane a night, but it's worth trying.
Really cool place! Great hurricane and you even can take the glass as a souvenir
Hurricane with the glass to go! Love the garden . Popcorn they give is also with a twist. Maybe garlic vinegar type flavor?
Amazing venue! Is a must see in Nola. You should try the Hurricane cocktail here!
Fun piano bar ! Night started out calm with people sitting, watching from tables. Got dancey by the end! Also beautiful courtyard !
The piano bar is amazing. They know every song. Mix with Hurricane for classic Nola
Hands down favorite piano bar in French Quarter, grab a hurricane and enjoy the music . The lines can get pretty long after 9pm
Hurricane drink is the go to. Just off bourbon street it is an original. Must go to when in New Orleans
Great atmosphere and drinks. Food was great, blackened drum(fish), red beans and rice . Would recommend to everyone to give it a try.
I loved this place! The duelling pianos were fantastic fun. And be sure to order at least one hurricane to drink; they're sweet but pack lots of punch.
Always good! Don't bother getting expensive dessert at your fancy restaurant. Stop by here for after dinner coffee and beignets. Cheap and delicious! Cash only! - nobodys business
Awesome place. The people, atmosphere, the bartenders were amazing. Went every night during our 5 night trip! - Cheryl Hardenbrook
Great cocktails. Spinning bar may make you dizzy after a while. Great jazz music the night we were there. - Robert Occhialini
Great spot with cool rustic decor. Had a street band outside! - Lauren Elle
My favorite place on Bourbon! Clean, fun, and great drinks. Everyone is so nice! - Courtney Ralston
Hand grenades and live music!! Super friendly staff and great location!! - Chelsea Ruth
