Avoid in the rain! There are only two small indoor areas and a lot of the animals hide if it is raining ????
Head towards the viaduct and you'll be able to walk along the river and forget you're in London.
A good place to walk dogs
having a caffe by the playground is novel but they make the worst espresso ever, bar none. ice cream is ok, though.
the best time of day in the park is early morning..

Don't worry the animals are not too cramped & they are all well looked after. The zoo is free and it's the perfect place to bring your kids to see a bit of wildlife. The lemurs are always a favourite! - Matt Ta-Min
