Best view is from the west accessible by trail or bush whacking along the fence. The lighthouse keeper sometimes locks the gate blocking public access near his taxpayer funded home.
This is the best view of Vancouver. Climb (carefully) down the rocks from West Beach and you'll get an amazing shot of North Van's mountains , Lion's Gate bridge , downtown and Stanley Park !
Take the West Beach trail for the best view of the lighthouse ! Oh and a map would be useful too!
When the gate is open, you can walk down to the end of the drive and get a great view of the lighthouse .
