A gem. Large selection of cheese and super friendly cheesemongers that'll help you find what you're looking for. Ask to try a bunch of local MN and WI cheeses , esp. if you're from out of town .

Plan-ahead to swing by for a tasting to find a new favorite amaro or liquor you haven't yet tried. Sandwiches in the cheese shop are to die for, and don't forget a Palmier cookie when checking out!!!

Try the Palmier cookies ! Really just try one. They are chewy without being crumbly and have a very nice almond Paste taste to them. Best cookie ever. Followed by Whole Foods lemon ricotta cookie .

If you can't find it here, just give up. But stop in the cheese shop before you do! They have sweet treats to help ease the disappointment(or to go w/ that obscure alcohol you were searching for).

The donuts are so good, some of the best in the city . Also the ficelle is one of my most favorite sandwiches (and I love a sandwich !).

Most of the wine staff here have an inflated opinion of their knowledge . And do a bit of research and you'll find that their sales aren't such great deals.

Voted top 5 interpretations of the chocolate chip cookie . the chocolate chip pecan cookie , wide, thin, lightly chewy, and nutty. Think chocolate-covered pecans , but in cookie format.

Immediately ask where things are (wines , etc.) to EXPEDITE your shopping experience. You'll kill an hour in here otherwise, & spend 2x -3x what you intended

I have yet to find a store with a better cheese selection . And of the course the wine is plentiful in selection, too.

Such a perfect deli for noshing food - excellent cheese selection & great salamis , sandwiches ... And interesting little things..

They'll make any of their excellent sandwiches on gluten free bread -- but you have to call at least an hour ahead, if not more.

Awesome cheese selection and good prices on liquor . Only downside is they don't take Amex

I only buy wine at Surdyks, and if you go during one of their tastings you will leave a littler happier :) Just be prepared to deal with an always-insanely-full parking lot ...

This place is huge!! Have just about everything you could want (even Adult Chocolate Milk ). They also are connected to a cheese/deli which looks excellent!

Ask if you have questions, these people know a lot about the wines here! If they don’t know they get someone who does.

Get yourself some vodka , grenadine, and Baileys. In a shot glass, pour 2/3 thirds vodka , a little grenadine, then a little Baileys. What you have is a tasty Bloody Brain!

Cheese selection looks amazing and so many wine here. Big plus when I saw my state 's beers .

If you like a nutty and mild cheese , pick up some manchego . It's perfect.

Cory the supervisor in the cheese shop is very helpful for first timers.

Cashiers aren't very friendly . They always ask if I'm a member of their club, when I reply no, they never didn't offer to sign me up. I finally had to ask to be signed up.
