Korkeasaari Zoo

A great place to visit at any time of the year. If you like zoos , consider the annual ticket and make walking the zoo your exercise routine. :-)

Possibly one of the most unique zoos in Europe . A pretty long and adventurous trip, if you go by bus from Helsinki. During winter the entire Island is covered in snow and makes for a very special hike

Huge zoo ! Wear comfortable shoes and buy water beforehand (it's €3.90 per 0.5l inside). Don't visit on hot summerdays as almost all animals are hiding from the heat.

A very nice zoo with lots of space and healthy animals. Large glass windows allow for a great view . Since the whole island is occupied, you also have a chance to walk along the shoreline.

It was nice, but frankly speaking you should go there when it's warm, cuz the zoo is surrounded by sea and the winds blow. The lion is very lazy, btw ))

In the summer take the boat from Hakaniemi or the Market Square. 7€ return and takes you straight to the island . Ticket back can be used to either destination.

It is a challenge to actually see some of the large animals (tigers, lions , bobcats, bears ), but the place is fun, large and nice. Get comfy shoes for a lot of walking ;)

Some other season than summer can actually be perfect for a visit to the zoo : there's less distraction and many animals are more active than in summer heat that can make them rather lazy.

We like the island and the nature, and all ducks that just walking nere you, But at all it os not very funny and intresting, maybe fo children.

Take a ferry to or from the zoo - it's the fastest way to get there and you get a great view of Helsinki on the way!

Open all year round, less people and more active animals (esp cats) in the autumn/winter than summer.

Go by boat from the harbor if weather allows. Wear comfy shoes - lots of walking. Cave style zoo , all outdoor and large enclosures . Lots of 'cats' like tiger, lion etc but no giraffe, hippo or moose

Nice place, a lot of different animals. Peacocks surfing between cafe tables.

Those lions and tigers are always sleeping on day time, so try to visit the Zoo in the morning or in the evening.

Best game ever! Push the button and taste the smell of skunk.

Go in wintertime around noon, you actually get to see some animals then!

It needs a lot of improvement to be able to compete with European zoos .

Best timing is to go when its little cloudy and not too hot at summer. You might even see some animals!

Check out the schedule of the animal feeding. It's nice to watch.

Hiihtoloman kunniaksi grillit olivat talon puolesta kuumina. Tämä oli kyllä todella iloinen yllätys!

I don’t like zoos . I went for light installation not fully realising it was a zoo . That said, it was pitch black & they charged full price but you couldn’t see any animals & the lights weren’t great

Вид изумительный, большие вольеры для живности. Место, которое стоит обязательно посетить при хорошей погоде . Рекомендую с утра, т.к. Потом зверье идет спать )) Павлины ходят везде, где хотят

Если вы приехали в Хельсинки , потратьте 19 евро на поездку в зоопарк ! (7 евро паром туда-обратно, 12 евро вход в зоопарк цена для взрослых).зоопарк на отдельном Остраве , можно гулять там часами!

Отличный крытый террариум. Здесь даже тарантул есть! Вход в него с двух сторон, но лучше заходить со стороны ресторана и игровой площадки , так как там есть туалет и стульчики для отдыха !

Замечательный зоопарк , только зимой медведей нет, написано спячка:)А так много сов, кошачьих, особенно понравилось кормление снежных барсов, олени, верблюды, тропический павильон с обезьянами и тп! +

Отличное место для прогулки :зоопарк расположился на острове посреди залива.Вход-12 евро для взрослых.Добраться дешевле автобусом:3,20 евро.Автобус номер 16 отходит от ж/д вокзала

Zoo находится на острове , поэтому если ехать, то лучше на целый день! Есть кафе напротив вольера с медведями: ты кушаешь, а Мишка на тебя смотрит:) там же есть комната матери и ребенка !

Nice zoo, but almost all animals are sleeping. It's just a nice park for walk. Free wifi .Неплохой зоопарк , но животных особо не видно, то ли спят то ли их нет) wifi в зоне кафе бесплатный , вода тоже.

Чтобы найти жителей зоо, захватит с собой Шерлока Холмса. В любом случае это отличное путешествие на пароме, прогулка по зелёному острову , троллинг злобных гусей и прослушивание "пения " павлинов .

Очень милый зоопарк , располагающийся на скалистом острове . Павлины и утки бегают прямо по улицам и выпрашивают еду у прохожих. Добраться легко от Рыночной площади на речном трамвайчике.

Полная альтернатива любому зоопарку в России - целый остров , где вы можете оказаться буквально в среде обитания диких животных и позавидовать условиям их содержания :-)

Очень домашний, уютный , компактный зоопарк . Приятно просто прогуляться. Нужно быть готовым к тому, что с наступлением холодов есть шанс застать пустые клетки.
