This 18,000 sq. ft. fenced area in Grant Park gives Chicago’s 4-legged residents a fun place to frolic off-leash. The rest of the park is also great to stroll around with your leashed dog.
This one has an abundance of tennis balls or al the dogs to share! Along with pools for dogs to cool themselves off
Lots of extra tennis balls floating around in case you forget to bring one for your pooch. They also have pools and fountains set up in the summer months !
There are a lot of irresponsible dog owners who are so busy socializing, smoking & drinking they don't actually watch their dogs. It's gotten unruly so be careful with your dog.
Great park . Just be sure to bring some water during the winter!
Beer friendly . I recommend Goose Island 312 Urban Wheat to quench your thirst while the dogs play in the water.
Pick up your cigarette butts! Leaving them on the ground does not make for a dog friendly environment .
There is a poop bag dispenser -- which I highly suggest everyone use. Pick up the poop in the gravel pit even if it does not "belong" to your dog.
Beware of the impromptu Happy Hours . Lots of irresponsible, tipsy owners NOT watching their dogs.
Be sure to clean up after your dog.
The park is on the northeast side of the bridge that goes over the Metra tracks . Listen for Lucy, you'll know where it is!
Come closer to 5:30 or 6 for the biggest crowd
dogs love the kiddie pools here.
No grass for your dog within fenced area .
Clean up your dog's poop.
