Unique Cantonese & Hokkien-influenced dishes. The chaipo kuayteow is a must have. Fried sea cucumber has a lovely texture. Plum-soaked tomatoes ????! Note that some dishes have to be ordered in advance!
Opened in Jan 2021, this discreet-looking restaurant is getting attention from foodies for their fresh & interesting Chinese seafood offerings
Spanish Carabinero prawn , served with mi sua in seafood broth. Broth was the highlight with strong lingering prawn flavours. Bright red Mediterranean prawns were served sashimi-style, lots of bite
Teochew cold yellow roe crab marinated w Shaoxing wine . $13 per 100g. Dish is served raw after being marinated in Chinese yellow wine for 2 days. Refreshing & unique as an appetiser . Call to reserve
Baby threadfin (“ngor her” in Hokkien) steamed. Only the freshest can be served this way. Sweet taste . For flavour, just a light dip into “tau cheo” (fermented bean paste sauce)
Deep fried whiting (silver sillago) fish . Seasonal savoury snack , with layers of aroma from the fried garlic toppings ????????
Deep-fried sea cucumber with abalone sauce. Superior idea. Fried layer contrasts & gave each bite a pleasant aroma. $26. Would order again!
Vehicular parking . Unlikely kerbside spots in front of restaurant . U save time by turning into Lorong 3 Geylang (fr Geylang Rd & before resto) & finding a lot at the HDB or MSCP along that road
Desserts . Enjoyed mushy/creamy “or nee” (steamed yam paste ), & “tau suan” (mung beans dessert ) with orange zest . $4.50 per person
Seasonal appetisers like these fried prawn balls & pig trotter jelly keep fans coming back for new delights from the kitchen
Pan-fried bee hoon (rice noodles ) with prawns . Enjoyed this simple dry version together with the contrasting soupy ‘mi sua’
Spinach braised with whole garlic , in superior broth was light enough to contrast with rest of yummy dishes
Peeled crabmeat fried rice . Not on the menu yet. $48 for their large size. Wished it could be more flavourful
Pan-fried Teochew kueh with filling of yam & salted egg . Filling tasted subdued against the plain glutinous rice skin
Deep-fried yam cubes coated with fine sugar. One is not enough! ????
Good Chinese restaurant that is competent in all local Chinese style cuisine. Think Cantonese claypot rice, Teochew braised duck and KL style Hokkien noodles. Extensive menu allows repeated visits. - Ting
