Lovely ambience. The coffee was good- more like a light Italian roast. We had a Napoleon and a custard and fruit tart , both of which were really pretty to look at and tasted amazing!
Great ambiance and amazing staff . You can stop in for a delicious coffee or Gelato or have a posh meal – the Crab Salad is delicious as are ALL of the desserts .
Nice hot and cold coffee mixes. The green tea matcha latte with ice tastes delicious! Its expensive but worth a try. Cakes and pastries are good, although for cakes better go to Lady M.
My most favorite coffee in NYC! I've tried a ton of them but, SA has an incredible vibe and the service is spot on. I feel like I've been transported to a café in Italy. Their latte is fantastic!
Posh settings and clientele. Olive bread is heavenly. Soups are always a standout. Vitello tonnato is perfection. Excellent coffee and cookies to die for. Expensive.
Tuna Panini All’Olio With Marinated Artichokes : a savory selection: chopped, briny artichokes and chunky canned Italian tuna on tender olive oil-infused rolls. “They’re slider-size petite," order 2.
This fantastic Italian eatery has been on fabulous upper east side for decades. Food is amazing & coffee is omg good. Visit their palm beach location, it’s just as great with WPB glitter💕
We loved their gelato ! Chocolate was intense so you may want to order one scoop for starters:) Cheesecake is also delicious🍰 🍰
In the summer gelato . A must. The rest of the year :) desserts , cookies , brunch , lunch just go :) trust me you'll love it
A classic NYC weekend brunch spot near The Met. Try the Eggs Benedict. The desserts are also fantastic, especially the Sant Ambroeus (chocolate mousse cake ).
Not many restaurants could prove themselves equally both an uptown and downtown favorite. But alas, Sant Ambroeus speaks a universal language everyone adores. Read more
Delicious food, and courteous staff . We found this place by accident after not being able to have brunch at the boathouse and stumbling up 5th ave. Breakfast was delicious.
A Little bit noisy when it’s crowned, but it’s really nice and the food was amazing! (Don’t have WiFi )
The lasagna is to die for, the best I've eaten in a while. Profiteroles are delicious and great quality gelatos !
Avocado toast poached egg , brioch and cornetti, espresso sant anbroeus, flourless chocolate
The espresso with thick hot chocolate ! So good!
If you’re looking for a place to sit down and enjoy just a cup of coffee and dessert , come here. The Salted-Almond Tart will satisfy your craving for a salty/sweet treat.
Amazing restaurant . Food was delicious. Service was great too.
Good food, quintessential UES neighborhood joint, great staff , snooty customers, great people watching
My favourite restaurant in the city ! Penne al pomodoro are awesome! (Im italian) I come at least 6 times a week!
Upper east side little afternoon cafe spot. Savory and sweet snacks are both good. Cocktail is meh.
A slice of Italy on Madison Ave, come here for your sweet tooth fix. Try the Sant Ambroeus - chocolate mousse cake with a chocolate custard center.
The most authentic penne pomodoro I've found in NYC. A little steep at $22, but well worth the splurge.
Nice cappuccino . Heavy on the foamed milk
Fancy Italian restaurant . Good to the blog of dutch writer Arnon Grunberg and see what he writes about it (in English).
Amaaaaaazing lasagna 👌🏼 😻😋
Pleasant Resturant with good coffee (sit by window), very convenient in area, but hectic and expensive .
The food was great. I recommend the signature chocolate cake 👍🏻
Very classic upper east side spot. Delicious gelato and very good pastas . Costs an arm and a leg. (3 of 4 petals via Fondu) Read more
I've been here so many times! Try their chocolate chip gelato if you feel like having ice cream .
A classic NYC weekend brunch spot , try the Eggs Benedict.
A classic NYC weekend brunch spot , try the Eggs Benedict.
Expensive but good chocolate chip gelato and espresso .
Really doesn’t make sense to have “brunch ” time when the menu has 2 egg dishes and the rest are just dinner entrees and pasta . Not one “sweet” option offered. And no modifications whatsoever. Womp.
Service, wine , perfectly cooked pasta , Nutella pastries
Geoffrey Zakarian, chef of The Lambs Club, eats here on his nights off. He loves the Panini San Ambroeus. Read more
Amazing sea food risotto , better if u also order a glass of chardonnay !
Excellent pastries and espresso!...Also close to our 980 Madison Avenue Gallery !
Just like you're in Europe. Great croissants !
I would stop in to the front cafe for a coffee but the restaurant is more stuffy feeling than the soho location.
Enjoy a croissant & cappuccino right at the bar .
Nice neighborhood cafe .
I lost my self here. Great tasty menu! Enjoy
Coffee was superb. Only one size for 3 bucks. It's a medium size imo.
Great proper Italian cappuccino !
The best penne pomodoro you'll ever have. Finish it off with a stracciatella and cappucino !
Expensive coffees and cakes but so worth it when you're in this neighborhood .
Service sometimes snooty and food is overpriced, but a good meeting place especially for coffee on weekends.
Pasta , cappuccinos
All I had was ice cream , but delicious.
go early sit at the bar get any pasta and a side of Brussels sprouts and the chocolate dessert. yummmmmmmm - Danyel Smith
Perfect place to go in to eat at the bar. The pumpkin pasta is to die for. - Rebecca Mazza
Went with low expectations and was pleasantly surprised. The modern art, tribal art, and antique furniture sections were particularly interesting. Don't miss the view from the newly opened rooftop!! - Harry
Great place to escape from the noise of the city. Huge area to explore with plenty of lakes and quiet spots to enjoy a picnic. - Carl Griffin
