National Harbor Boardwalk

Great area, lots to eat, occasional events worth checking out too. Go with friends or family. It makes things really fun. Also, check out the pier . You can catch a water taxi in Alexandria, Virginia.

First boardwalk closes at 12am, the boardwalk closer to Gaylord closes at 12:30am. If you're expecting to sit near the water after hrs, your best bet is to walk the path behind Gaylord ... Fyi :)

Very scenic view of the Potomac! Skyline looks beautiful, especially around sunset ! Lots to do, especially if you have money! Besides that, keep an eye out for any special events ! Metrobus accessible.

Has some spectacular sunsets and views ! Lots of activities and the Potomac River looks great from the Boardwalk. Walkable and Pedestrian friendly . Lots of places to sit down

Such a fun place to spend the afternoon with family. Peruse the shops and watch the little ones climb all over a screaming statue 's face.

Visit the pier to admire the docked boats, illuminated ferris wheel , and calm water against a painted backdrop of sunset sky!

Great place to walk and relax. Avoid the Children's Museum though- not enough to be worth the $10 per person cover.

The Prosecco Sangria at McCormick & Schmick 's is really great, especially since I don't drink alcohol drinks .

Ponder why this is called a boardwalk when it's made almost completely out of bricks (and not boards) while relaxing near the Potomac River .
