I've tried both the buffet and the normal menu. It could have just been the day, but I wasn't thrilled out the Saturday buffet . It was ok. The stew on the menu with my sandwich combo was great!
Im not a fan of bar-b-que or fried chicken at all but I will tell you that the grilled hamburger steak is really good.
If you're looking for the best deal on "country cooking " in Kinston, go to the carry-out entrance (left side of the building) during lunch and ask about the specials.
Best barbecue in eastern NC , hands down!
Between the Confederate décor and the Reagan posters, I'm not so sure about this place. But at least the food is damn good.
