You can purchase the cups and ceramic plates you get served in. They make great souvenirs and they are hand painted by the artist owner herself. Don't be shy to ask for the prices!
If you arrive before open time (11:00AM) you can still ask for a seat and enjoy the "simple menu" which is coffee and home made cake .

下田に来たらここに行かないで何処に行く、というぐらいのスポット。お金がかからないから観光協会的にはおススメしていないのかもしれないけど、中世の城跡の遺構（縄張を想像しながら空堀見学）も見れ、伊豆半島の先端から伊豆七島を眺められ、2月〜3月には椿の公園で鑑賞。気持ちよいハイキング。ただしお子様や高齢者の方も歩けるレベル。ぜひぜひ行ってみてください。 - ばくりんこ☆
