A little dark for my liking. However Staff were v accommodating n friendly . Prices are good. Hv to upgrade on pasta . Fish n chips were brilliant.
Lloyds No.1 style Wetherspoons. Great value food and real ales .
Use the side bar or upstairs for quicker service, the main bar can be tedious at the best of times.

De-facto pre-drinks place in town for students heading to Popworld, Casino , Legion, Tickled Ivory or another club/bar.
Go early before the crowds and it’s pleasantly cheap for a quick pint
Not to be confused as a no music Wetherspoons but its more noisy cousin a Lloyds Bar which at the weekends has DJ's and music playing.
The local wetherspoon, cheap , busy, I never expect the best quality food, although sometimes I am suprised.
Crowded , average food and plastic glasses. But cheap beer , huge portions and very central, so it's perfect if that's what you're looking for.
Wetherspoons have improved the veggie sausages - now get Quorn which is a vast improvement.

The 14oz Aberdeen Angus rump steak is massive but the meat is not that great. Burgers are better!
Full of drunken old men , sticky carpets and at the weeekend full of people who cant hold their drink avoid like the plague
